Hi ladies,
I am actually quite nervous to post these pics, as they are very telling, but I believe that it may resonate with some of you out there.

It is amazing what one short year of just paying attention to your hair can do!! I mean, really!! :yep:

I certainly have a long way to go to reach my hair goal (MBL), but it is undeniable that I have come a long way as well.

This is my hair in Oct 06

I must admit that in the beginning of my relaxed hair journey I was all a/b growing my hair at mega-high speeds, but my hair is sooooo healthy right now that if it didn't grow another inch, I would be ok (a little bummed, but ok). I have set some small growth goals between now and MBL, but I'm not going to let it take me over. I am going to sit and enjoy the ride, and make sure to keep my camera charged up for those milestone moments ;)

Thanks for reading :D

Nice job Artemis_e! :yep:

Keep on doing what you are doing and before you know it, you'll have reached your goal. I figured that it takes "average' of 2 years (from the threads and posts of the LHCF ladie's progress), which includes setbacks and other issues, before we REALLY see a HUGE difference in our hair.

I can't wait, personally. I've had 3 setbacks in the past year and though my hair is healthy, I have had a lot of breakage which thinned my hair out even more. I've had to have my hair trimmed 3 times and I started my hair journey officially in November 06. :ohwell:

Anyhoo, CONGRATULATIONS Lady and HHG! :yep:

I think you have achieved the greatest amount of progress. I can definitely see the difference a year makes. You hair looks healthier and a lot thicker! Congrats!! Keep doing what you're doing!! :trophy::woohoo:

You have made a very noticeable amt. of progress!!! I am very happy & proud of you!!!

Great progress. Your hair looks much healthier.

Keep that camera ready girl! Those milestones are coming.

Thanks to all of you!! I really appreciate the love!!

The posts on this board are so invaluable--I know most of you know I am a "Search Feature" fiend

But it's the little things that make the difference! Taking the time to apply conditioner to your hair in sections; combing gently, not tugging; rollersets more often than not; and dagnabit as much as I hated it in the beginning--protective styling is what's up, haha.

Lately, I have afforded myself the "treat" of wearing my hair out on like Saturday or Sunday, but the other days those ends are coated w/moisturizer and tucked :yep:.

Yeah, fine hair is NOOO joke! Back in the day, you could whistle near my hair and it'd break off :nono: Not no mo', lol!

I know that my strands are very unique and I have to do my own thing, so as much as I want to cut and even everything out, I know that my hair just grows like this, and the ends are healthy, so I'm being patient. The layers have been the bane of my existence, but they're catching up w/the quickness :) It's very exciting to watch the transformation.

Keep it up Miss Lady!! I see good progess in the health of your hair and growth. By next year you even be more amazed at how your hair is doing!

I love progress pics and your are definately a good example of what care and attention can do:clap::woot:Celebrate!!

Thank you for sharing!:yep:
I love progress pics like yours because it shows that our hair can grow if we know how to take care of it. I wish I could show my stubborn friends who refuse to believe unless you have "good hair" or you're mixed.

wow, your hair got so healthy! no more see-through ends! i'd be majorly bummed if my hair didn't grow anymore but stayed healthy. i want my length!

I know right! But I totally have to focus on my hair's health, b/c if not I will be bummed that it is not down to my butt right this second  There are soooo many ladies on this board that have looooong flowing hair, and I'm always stalking, er um, viewing their Fotkis going, "Aww, ME WANT!!"

Mahaliee has a post awhile back that was really good--it talked a/b focusing on what you want to improve so that you don't preoccupy yourself w/the length goals, and that's what I've been doing, and I'm so grateful to have learned from her...Thank you ;)

I've learned that my fine hair needs regular dusting and S&D sessions -- not trims/cuts and that's fine w/me.

Way to rep the fine haired ladies!!!!Woo Hoo! Gone girl. I am thrilled to see your progress this past year- what an inspiration, I hope to folow suit:yep:. Your ends looks awesome BTW.
