WAW your hair grows very fast. Congratulations.

Beautiful!!

Wowweee!!!!!

Candy, your hair looks amazing-in one word!!! You're definitely a hair inspiration, and you're repin' UK chicks :).... I Loooove my gold 'round the way girl' hoops

The thickness is off the chain as well. I can see you getting to hip length eventually.

Looking at your progress is just a reminder that our hair goals are real if we take it seriously enough...You've made me wanna fix up and carry on striving for even longer and healthier hair!

Thanks for sharing your regimen girl. Happy hair growing

Man that bun is amazing. I have to use like 20 inches of weave to obtain a bun like that LOL well maybe not 20 inches but you get the point...keep up the great work

Now that is a BUN! Girl, your bun just became my inspiration! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the replies ladies..Theres alot of love on this board:D :)

right, i'm gonna try and fit everything on this one post...

My Regime:

Washing:

- I pre poo with Amla Oil overnight (usually the night or 2 nights b4 i wash)

- I wash my hair every 1-2 weeks in order to keep my ends stronger for longer

- I shampoo with Keracare Hydrating Poo (once) rinse and then use Keracare Humecto as a conditioner (2-40mins) mixed with Wonder 8 Oil to keep everything silky and ends pliable.

- I use Keracare Leave In conditioner as a leave-in (ruffle through damp hair with this) and then use Keracare Oil Moisturizer and follow that up with Coconut/Almond oil on the ends.

- i airdry in a loose pony and then remove the band after about 3 hours and airdry till dry with hair loose.

______________________________

Daily Styling:

- i comb my hair once a week (with Amla Oil in it ONLY)

- I use a boar bristle brush, a filtered bottle of water, KC Moisturizer and Coco/Alm oil to style my hair in a bun.

- i spray my hair with the water, (light spitz through ends lighter than rest and lots in the front) smoother my hair in a blob of KC moisturizer and run the oil through my hair. lightly brush roots and put into a loose pony with a large bobble (only wrap the bobble twice). i roll and clip the ends under the bun (base of my neck). My ends are in a good warm place when i do this bun :) so that helps to keep them moisturized and smooth.

________

Vitamins:*

- B50 complex
- Biotin
- Flaxseed oil (one tablespoon)]
- Multi Vitamin

(i stopped taking MSM a longg time ago, probabley back in June. i only took it for like a month...i had alot of growth whilst having MSM added to my vit reg. but i also had bad acne whilst taking this, so i wont be taking it again in a hurry....If u can take it though, its on of the best things for your health and hair!!!)

*I TAKE MY VITAMINS IN THE NIGHT as i feel the body absorbs them much better whilst you are sleeping...

____

Special treats:

- Avocado treatment:
(every 2-3 months) before any chemical service.

- Salerm Wheat Germ and Salerm 21 treat. (once a month)

_____

Other Stuff:

- i dont trim, just dusting off splits when i see em
- relax every 10-12 weeks with Elasta Q-P Mild {no-lye]

So thats it really, i've been doing this for a while. best thing is to get a line and stick to it. keep everything consistent in a pattern and the hair will flourish.

shoulderlength - jan 2005-nov 2005
armpit length-nov 2005-april 2006
brastrap length-april 2006-oct 2006
MBL - oct 2006

so i'd say from jan 2005 - oct 2006 its been nearly 2 years to get to MBL! well its gone quickly bun i actually do think thats a really long time. i have stalled so many times but i love long hair so much that i force myself to keep trying!

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANd of course like everyone else said, I love your bun:)

ETA: sometimes simplicity is best!

lol thanks!

this thread was well old, thanks for whoever bumped it up :)

i dont even sport that bun anymore!

i two-strand twist it, and clip under.

better for the ends

and stays in much longer!

:)
