Great progress and def lovin that bun. From seeing your pics it inspired me back on the vit & MSM route again, because seeing your progress coming from the same country with cold climate and hard water its easier to be inspired than say someone from LA, ATL or Miami because those things really do make a difference and have an impact on our hair potential.

You've reminded me I need to get another pair of gold earrings. The gold earrings and bun, must be a UK black girl thing :lachen:

GREAT PROGRESS!!

haha its true its true...i look dry without my spanglies! (Half Price Jewellers!)

Candy congratulations!! you hair looks great, i wanted to ask you about the elasta QP relaxer we both use, are you sure its mild strength, i thought it was regular. Anyway for some reason my hair didn't take well on my last relaxer and my hasir has been feeling drier it could be the calcium build-up from no-lye, so i was thinking of switching to silk elements. i'm really sorry that i'll be leaving the elasta QP behind because my hair turned out beautiful the first time i had used it.

oh dear, yeh i saw your hair woes, but didnt think it was to that extent! :(

I definately use the mild (aka sensitive) elasta qp no lye..cos my hair relaxes pretty quickly, and my scalp is very sensitive...(well it was).

hmmmm, dont be sorry, if its the best thing for your hair ...then give it up..but if u've been using regular i strongly suggest trying the mild. i've been usin this since age 11 and I DID experience lots of dryness and breakage and buildup when i wasnt looking after my hair as much as i do now. could it be anything else?? :)

hey chickie...

basically i dont live at my mommas no more, and shes the one with the specially filtered water that i love to wash my hair in. i only go and check for her once a week (and usually if i can be bothered) i will wash my hair on that day :)...my hair is much better without all the manipulation i used to put my hair through. now i hardly even SEE it. its soo much stronger (and i thought it was strong before) and longer. PLUS its wintery now and when i step out that shower its freezing! i dont wanan see my hair as a chore anymore, more like my special weekly thingy :)

Candy - You forgot to tell us how to make the bun! :)

hey! i probabley skimmed it..sorry!!!

- I basically spray my roots and spritz a tiny bit of water through my ends..

- i then rub a blob of keracare moisturizer in my hands and "scrunch" and run it throughout my hair... (all the time, my hair is combed right back from b4 washing so i dont comb, fingercomb or aything much to change this formation)...

- after that i either use my boar brush to smooth into a loose pony and dab coconout oil through my ends and roots...

- or use the coco oil and THEN slick back (if i'm going out and want a smoother look) :)

- i then get a bobby pin, tuck my ends under (by the nape of my neck) and clip my ends securely.

VOILA! easy peezy :)

Aha! yes it was...3 days of madness and i feel so horrible right now! i've also missed 2 days of vits so i'm back on now and feeling better! :)

Caramela, Sylver2 and Lauren450...you 3 ladies are my IDOLS! i just look at your pics and feel inspired to carry this hair malarky on for as long as i can :p Thanks ladies :)

And yes u know its all about getting waistlength. i'm really on it right now. i'm gonna try and stick to this routine..its true what alot of ladies say after reachin brastrap tho..the hair does grow slower but it grows in a way thats probabley better for the hair - less growh, less retouches. i'm not too fussed about growth right now, more so getting to a healthy hiplength...whenever it happens!

Thanks so much for posting your regimen, CC!!! I was waiting for that!!!!

This is an interesting statement here....i wonder why this is the case? Have many ladies BSL (and longer) found this to be true? Im glad you posted that, because i wasnt aware of this. So i'll keep that in mind when im taking my progress pics in 3 months.... that i may not necessarily get the same growth that im used to.
