does anyone else have a problem with paying 30 bucks to store ur photos when there are numbers of places online to store them for free? apparently i met the limit today and irefuse to waste my money to store pictures online. is it just me???:blush:
 
This is my second year paying.... I am thinking of a different site - But I like how it is set up - so.....

I would have to pay for a site from Typepad, etc.....
 
How do you do that? I met my quota a couple of months ago and I would like to update my album but I refuse to spend $30.00.
 
i just logged in and it gave me a page saying i would have to pay to upload anymore photos but when i tried to upload the photos it let me so idk
 
Go to "My Settings" in Fotki and request 10MB of space. You can make a request every 30 days.

I've only used 32MB of my 330MB total to date.

ETA: I deleted the originals as Pokahontas suggested below, and now it's down to 20MB out of 330 MB. Thanks Pokahontas!

This is good info.....I haven't pd but I haven't used a lot of my space yet either.....I'll keep this in mind when I do start reaching my space limit
 
It'll also tell you when you're eligible to request an add'l 10 MB as well. For instance, mine told me yesterday I had approximately 4 days until I could request more space.

Thanks for posting this. I've been slowly deleting old photos and replacing them with new pics when updating. Much appreciated.:yep:
 
I've tried to replace fotki a couple of different times. The others don't compare. For me it's either fotki or no online album/journal.

I thought you only had to pay to get rid of the ads. :ohwell:

ETA: I just added more space while it was fresh in my mind. Thanks for the reminder ladies. :)

That's exactly why I've never used Fotki because there are too many ways to do that for way less than $30. I'm a web designer, I was thinking of making my own site, won't cost a penny.

I don't pay for the service right now but I do use the other features, like the journals and videos. Ofcourse I have some of the stuff there as private because its for my eyes only. If I had to pay to keep those things I would because it is really nice to keep everything in one place rather than have stuff all over the internet or different computers.
