Former Creme of Nature use- What are you using now?

We all know its been a couple of years now since our Creme of Nature original formula has been discontinued. Luckily I still have 2 big bottles left and some places still have it in this area but I know that will all come to an end soon.

Ive been putting this off as long as possible but I really need to find a replacement asap. So what have all the former CON users been using for the past 2 or so years and how is it working for you long term?

I've used Elasta QP in substitute but it doesn't really compare IMO. Maybe I got a bad bottle but it's really thin and seems to take a lot just to sud up. And the bottle is smaller. I've been using ORS Creamy Aloe. Haven't found a dupe yet. I wish I could find it here still

Good thread. My bottle is almost gone and I'm scared. I haven't found anything suitable to replace it either.

I love that you guys are just now running out!!! Lmao I love the LHCF ladies! :)

:lachen::lachen::lachen: Yeah girl. I wasn't playing. I had just discovered CON right when it discontinued. It was the best thing ever for me so I stocked up big time. Before that I had never experienced a shampoo that didn't dry and strip my hair.

Me too!! Well actually I discovered CON a long time after it was discontinued, I bought the CON pro. detangling conditioning shampoo in normal(red/white label) at Sally's back in the beginning of the year, it was the only one left and I bought it to try it,,,,, Its GREAT! No need for conditioner afterwards:yep:

try some walmart's in areas that have very very few blacks
(this is where i see the smaller bottles)

also someone mentioned texasbeautysupply.com ?? idk

whenever i see the bottles in old low traffic beauty supply stores it looks all old, sticky, and boogerish:perplexed

I use QP Elasta Creme Conditioning Shampoo. I was and still mad at Creme of nature, when that happened I called them every hour asking did the change the formula and if they did they are crazy!! Well they changed and I am still upset I loved that shampoo!!

I haven't found a replacement. It was the only shampoo that didn't strip my hair. So I have just been using shampoo when absolutely necessary and very very infrenquently.

i hear from youtube Miss Jessie's creme de la creme creme shampoo (mouth full) is to die for!!!

Ill be running out soon too  Thats been my favorite shampoo since I was like 5 SMDH.

I like Design Essentials shampoo, and Elasta Qps is pretty good I guess

:wallbash:

My hair fairy blessed me and I have 6 big bottles left! :reddancer: But I am taking notes for when that horrible day comes when I run out.

I am about a quarter into my last big bottle. After that, done. I bought some of the Elasta QP creme shampoo to start trying it out (I tried it out years ago before realizing CON is all I needed). I don't know if Elasta has changed their ingredients but it was $2.99 so (Kanye shrug). I am still trippin on how a lot of newbies out here are raving over the new CON and I have yet to hear any veterans praise that product lol.

is the new version that bad?

I wouldn't know, haven't tried it and won't. I have tried the "new version" of too many products in the past and I am sick and tired of the misleading advertising that translates into "new and improved" when in actuality it means "charging you the same price (or more) except we now use cheap fillers and water the product down". I just know Sodium Laureth Sulfate is now the 2nd ingredient when it hasn't been for the past 3 decades (I'm 33 yrs old and Mom used this on me since I was a little girl). They've now stated it's "new" and "improved", touting "certified organic ingredients" etc, etc. They now market kiwi, sunflower, coconut, etc, as the key ingredients when we all know they're not.

Anyone out there that swore by the old version that can give a good review for the new version of CON?
