Fearfully Wonderfully Made
Whether you have mixed certain oils with water or certain hair products with oils, whatever the combo is...how do you use your product mixtures?

I decided to mix EVOO with Surge Plus 14 and spray it on my scalp when its dry and to keep my roots of new growth in control. But I was wondering how often should I do this???
I wash my hair every 2 weeks. Will applying the mixture every other day be a problem?

What products have you mixed together, what do u use it for and how often do you use it? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I mix blue grease, WGO, Biotin Creme and coconut oil together and I put this around my edges and scalp every other day. I like the results I am getting from it.

I doubt if it will be a problem PoohBear. When I had my bottle of Surge I did the same thing without a problem. However, I was washing once a week. So your problem may be build up if washing every two weeks.

Currently I have a product mixture that I use for my daily leave-in moisturizer. (Distilled water, humectress, NTM silk touch & coconut oil). I use this to moisturize in the morning and at night before bed. My hair is usually in a ponytail.

I have some essential oils (rosemary & peppermint), but I havent added them to my leave-in yet because I don't know if they're safe to spray directly on the hair or if they should be confined to the scalp only.

I use a mixture of distilled water, the Surge Lotion Motion #9 oil and castor oil that I use on my ends before I Surge. I like the fragrance of the oil.

I use all this(the mix and Surge) when I have alot of NG. I use the mix before bed and in the morning. I've noticed that my scalp hardly itches when I do this even when I have a bunch of NG.

I mix up pantene smooth and sleek, evoo, and distilled water and make a leave in conditioner with it. I use it after a wash or even to just mist my hair or ends with moisture.

As long as you have added them to some type of base or carrier it is fine. I have a mix of eo's (rosemary, lavender, ylang ylang, and cedarwood) and castor oil that I put on my scalp and hair.

I mix Lustrasilk Tee Tree conditioner and a Suave conditioner and use once a week for detangling. The tangles just slide out!

I had a jar of Mizani Rose H20 that I didn't know what to do with. On it's own, the Mizani Rose dries my hair. So, I mixed coconut and evoo into it, and now it's a great moisturizer. I love the shiny results that I get after applying it.

Thanks Kaddy - since my mixture has coconut oil, I think a will add a few drops of rosemary & peppermint & see what happens. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I mix coconut milk and olive oil and use it as a pretreatment sometimes.

I mix Suave milk & honey with EVOO, coconut oil, 1 capsul of panthenol, 2 tablespoons of honey and a capful of caprillic triglycerides and use this as a CO wash. Suave M&H does nothing for me on it’s own.

Daily moisturizer is just NTM mixed with distilled water and EVOO and put into a spray bottle.

Rosemary can dry out the hair. I spray my rosemary/water mix onto my scalp only then massage.

I have two favorite mixes.

My moisturizing mix contains: Suave Awapuhi, V05 Strawberries n' Cream, Rosemary EO, Coconut Oil (or Monoi Oil), and the rest is water. I spritz on my hair at night to keep it moist and shiny.

My eo growth mix contains: Rosemary EO, Peppermint EO, and grapeseed oil. I sometimes rub this into my scalp to encourage growth.

Glycerin, distilled water, and oils. For the oils, I'm currently using Coconut Oil. In the past, it was castor oil or Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil. Now, I'm considering mixing one part coconut oil, one part Vatika oil, 2 parts glycerin, and 8 parts distilled water. I will have to run this under hot water before spraying on my hair.

I mix honey,EVOO, and sometimes cinnamon to my conditioners for CW. I also mix water, EVOO, and Suave Awapuhi conditoner in a spray bottle and mist my hair for moisture.
