They sent me that as a gift once, when I purchased my maxiglide last year..I gave that bad boy to my 3 year old...well I gave the little purse to her and the other accessoried, my oldest daughter took...it was pink

^^ don't worry Atlien if you click on the picture it comes up bigger. Atleast the bag is cute to hold lipgloss and stuff. I don't know why they just didn't just send that stuff over to Dollar Tree, I'm sure they made money off of the shipping also, it doesn't cost $5 to send that.

Yea, but it seems like it was safe to assume that your grab bag should at least be worth more than the shipping and handling. Plus, the promotion said the grab bag would be worth up to $125, that was a bit sneaky of them...

even though i didnt buy the gift bag, i agree with JG. why would they even do that? they basically sent grown women little kiddie toys. you are all loyal customers and should be treated that way. i would definately call and complain. i would tell them im telling everyone i know not to buy from them. i would post it on every board possible. you should post something in the vendor section on the board as well. i never even heard of folica before but i wont buy anything from them ever.

I can just imagine being the customer service person on the other line and someone called in because she paid for the $1 grab bag and is unhappy because of what she got.

The ad did say it could be worth $2.95 - $125. Grab bags are ALWAYS pieces of crap. I have never seen otherwise.

I thought it was kinda fun personally. I got the makeup bag with the makeup applicators. My niece is having fun with it.

I would have rather gotten the nail polish, though. At least I could have used it. But, still it was fun to get the package because I never expected more than that.

I mean Folica still sells the FHI irons that they don't make anymore and they sell them for about $10 more than other merchants. I figured they would not be giving up on their moneymakers. Even any appliances that they gave for $1 would have been some 80's crimp-iron with 4 inch plates that won't even stay on - you know all the stuff that people won't buy.

Maybe I've been burned enough with stupid grab bags and "surprise" offerings from stores to have expected much more. The pencils with Gemini and Libra symbols and strawberry lollipops were of more use to me than those little makeup pouches though. And I will admit that I'd briefly considered ordering, but the high shipping cost stopped me.
