Thanks! You all are too much! I just stay away from the HEAT and be very GENTLE! Oh, and don't let anyone fool around with it.

See Armyqt- I told you I would share! Glad you are still hanging out with us. You have great hair.

Caramel- I wish my daughters hair would hold for a week. I would be glad to get 2 days out of her braids.

No problem -Isis You are welcome.

Thanks everybody.

flyjump00 - i bought a satin bonnet with a drawstring that i put on my daughter's hair. It stays on ALL NIGHT long, wayyyy better then the scarves would. She has gotten used to it - it's a ritual now, just like pre treatments and deep conditioning is
grin.gif
. And her styles say so much longer now... thank goodness for that bonnet

Wow! Liberty would never leave one on her head. I made her a satin pillow case though. She loves it.
Oh, the things we do for our daughter's hair...

YOu are very pretty Fly, and your daughter is adorable. How did you do your bun.

CH your daughter is a cutie.

Honeyhips, thank you!
I just twisted my hair like I was doing a higher bun only lower, I wrapped my ends around my hair and put the satin tie on it. Hope this helps.

Thanks honey
flyjump, the drawstring bonnet is not easy for a child to take off. you hide the string underneath the bonnet so she can't c it. you can also wait until she goes to sleep then put it on... the more u do this, the more she will b use to seeing it on her head when she wakes up

Ohhhh! I get it. SNEAKY! Would Sallys or Walmart have one? Where did you buy? I was a bad lazy mommy last night. I didn't braid her hair up. It is ALL over her head this morning.

I got mine at a little rinkydink bss but i am sure sally's has it.

LOL, even when im tired i make sure i do something with mya's hair. she's use to me coming in and taking out her ponytail holders and braiding her hair... i look at it like this. Would I go to bed with my hair a mess? HELL NO!

I know girl. I was a bad bad Mommy! I will make up for it in a minute when I comb. I should have at least put 1 or 2 braids in.

No, not at all tender headed. I put her in her booster chair and let her watch Dora or Blues Clues. She use to buck her head back and act silly. I would have a hard time braiding while she was awake. Now, she is starting to enjoy getting it combed (she knows what "sooo pretty" means now). I have to make sure that she knows to act pretty to be pretty.

I think she is doing well for almost 17 months. does your baby like getting her hair combed? Do you have to entertain her?

Initially she'd cry, cry, cry. If i spritz her hair with water she'd cry (when i'm washing it and water touches her hair she cries). Now, i've noticed that when i do her hair, she doesn't make a sound and if i 'hurt' her, she just says, ouch mommy, that hurts as opposed to the old OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...
cry3.gif
i asked her y she doesn't cry anymore and she said, point black, 'b/c it doesn't hurt'. I do, however, have one of her shows on (could b courage the cowardly dog or scooby doo) so she has something to do.

Liberty loves the water spritz. I just finished her hair. She was soooo good. What is your daughter's hair type? I am thinking Liberty is a 2 something. Maybe 2b. It is very curly but a fine grade. It dries out fast too. I have to put caster oil or bag balm in it everyday (only 2 things that do not break her out). I think it is b/c I still have to wash it when she takes a bath. She is not big enough for the sink yet. And the shower is too hard. I can't make it run on a low pressure.

The whole hair type thing is SOOO confusing to me (i don't even know my own hair type
perplexed.gif
) but i just checked and i'd have to say she's a 3C/4A. i think ...

Caramel....couldn't find the drawstring bonnet today. I have 1 more place to look. It is a black hair supply store.
