Hi, on this board the ladies have mentioned that taking Evening Primrose Oil supps have given them extra boobage, not Flaxseed oil. did you get this mixed up, or have you heard this is the case with flaxseed as well?

I gained weight from taking the oil. I didnt want to take anymore pills so I opted for the oil. I had to get back on weight watchers and so I decided to see how many points per serving it was. I found it added an additional 3 points to my smoothie I was drinking so I stopped. In WW 3 points is close to a whole meal and I rather eat something.:eek:Great post!!!

I guess i'll have to try it for awhile and see how i like it. If i notice any weight gain or a bigger chest i'll have to leave it alone.

bumping this thread. as you all know, ive been having dry hair problems. I had these flax seeds in my kitchen but i was afraid to take them because of hte 'weight gain' issue but after doing some research i've learned that they are very good for you and help promote weight loss.

are people still taking flax seeds/flax seed oil? Have you gained weight? lost? or maintained?? what else is different? just trying to see if this might help me. i also read that its good for preventing colon and breast cancer.

NO it doesnt affect any of those areas.

Did you mean to put that NO in caps like that?

I mean sheesh, I was just asking a question. Sorry that i'm not a wiz when it comes to these things.

Flaxseed oil helps one to lose weight, not gain weight. It actually burns off other fats in the body. It's an essential oil (Omega-3) which means we must have it for health, either in this form or from fish like tuna and salmon.

It's the Evening Primerose Oil that causes some women to get larger breasts. Flaxseed oil does not do that.

Yeah, flax seed oil helps to burn the bad fats. LL CoolJ takes it and he's my dh so I know:lol: .

I take it but I haven't really noticed any loss. It does help my skin be clear and moisturized.

Well between the flaxseed oil, biotin and all the b vitamins I'm taking...my metabolism is much faster, my skin is incredibly clear and my nails are incredibly strong and white:grin:

I can't decipher any one item so I just say "it's all good":)
