Any flaxseed takers,

I have read from a few people that they have gained weight in the chest area from usage of this? First of all I don't need NO help in that department. I am not trying to get anymore than what I got.

Secondly, with anything (that I've noticed) that increases breast size increases body fat. And I am trying to shed a few pounds. I read on the bottle, it does have some fat, but those are unsaturated fats (the good fats). Should I be worried?

Anyone take these while trying to loose weight?

I take it everyday and i have been losing weight. It has increased my hair and nail growth tremendously. I like it.

Oh boy. Thats the last thing i need also is a bigger chest.:perplexed I'm also trying to loose weight. I'll have to watch this topic for more answers.

Well...it is fat so depending on how much you take....I'm guessing its around 100 calories per tablespoon, maybe a little more. It doesn't cause weight gain anymore than something else with the same amount of calories so you would need to take that into account...if you are taking the pills...I wouldn't worry about it b/c those are only 30 cals or so per serving. Also you may want to take it on an empty stomach or with protein and no carbs.

**Never read anything about flax and breast size....

honestly, i've been taking it (2000 mg a day) working out and watching what i eat and i've still gained five pounds.
i'm going to lay off the flaxseed oil and see if that jump starts my progress.
thanks for posting this.
this could be what's holding me back!

When I seen the title I went OMG. I have been taking flax for over a month now while also trying to lose 10-15 lbs by the end of the summer. I cant say that I have seen these effects noticibly cuz Ive been paying attention to the changes it makes to my scalp and skin.
And I definitely dont need extra help with my boobies

I've notice my breast have gotten bigger and I have put on about 5 pounds. I was taking one 1,000mg per day for 3 months. My mother have been taking flaxseed oil for years, recommended by her doctor since she was menopausal. Its suppose to help her with those symptoms and it intervenes with her hormones. I will have to do research on this topic, but in the meantime, I've stopped taking them.

Well it's unsaturated fats which are the good fats so I guess I shouldn't be worried too much. It doesn't have saturated fats in there which is a big no-no for me. I guess I will take it and continue my diet regimen also. We'll see how it goes.

I hear you on that. I wish I can donate my boobage! :lachen:

I also have to watch this thread, since I want to start using this supplement, but I want to start a weight loss regimen as well...

Flax seed oil should not increase your weight. Most people recommend that you take 1 tbsp for every 50 lbs of your weight. This oil is supposed to increase metabolism and help loose weight.

This is what I've always heard too, that it's supposed to help you lose weight. I've also read that body builders sometimes use it to help build leaner muscles.

The person who told you about the bigger breast thing was probably confusing flax seed oil with evening primrose oil, which is known for increasing breast tissue.

Hey MM-
I Just Started Taking Flax/Evening Primrose About A Week Ago And I Have Noticed That I Have Been Eating Less.Guess It Must Keep My Hormones In Check.Thank God Cuz I Got 10 More Lbs To Lose:) I'll Watch To See What It's Doing For Me.

I have been taking it for about two months and I am maintaining my current weight/fluctuating about 1-3 lbs weekly.

I would say totally unsure about weight gain--no difference in the twins, still perfect

I do have to say that I was taking flaxeed pills everyday for about a month and I did gain weight. I thought it was just me. But I've stoped taking them.

flaxseed has soy isoflavones or something in them and their like weak estrogens and can increase your breast size alittle and help you put weight on if u dont watch out

PSH flax never made my boobs grow!

one of my vits have increased my appetite though...duno which 1, i'd say the multi.

Yup, very possible because I have gained 3lbs in a month and I have been dieting(staying under 1800 calories) and doing light excerise. My breast are already big, so I dont need anymore help in that department.

What I have noticed is not only is my scalp oily-which is a good thing because it requires that I only need to moisturize my ends, its making my face SUPER oily which is causing acne. Here in Arizona, during the summer it averages 110 degrees...so just imagine the sweat and oil mixing. Not a good thing. I downgraded to one pill a day.

I haven't taken flax seed oil regularly. I will start soon. This is what I have found out about it..............

Here are some articles:

I was about to say this!
I hear it helps to jumpstart the metabolism...

I started taking flaxseed oil over 2 yrs ago to help my cholesterol. It lowered my "c" by 27 points and I lost 39 lbs without any other changes. I will take it forever:lachen:

I've been taking flax oil since 1996 and NEVER did it make my boobs grow (I WISH!!). I also took it during contest season when I was bodybuilding because it did in fact kill my appetite and preserve lean muscle tissue. (plus it has always done wonders for my hair and nails.

Fat is fat, but with that said. The only way I can see you gaining weight with it is if you are eating more than a fair amount a day and/or you are eating it in combo with stuff you really shouldn't be eating. Any weight gain is gonna be due to more calories consumed vs amount expended. What is your diet like on a daily? Eating chips and dip or cakes and cookies or white bread or ice cream or creamy stuff like lot's of margarine or butter? What about fried foods? I wouldn't give up on the flax first. I would check the rest of my diet. Flax is most certainly a beauty oil. For hair, and skin along with artery benefits. It also said to be great for pms symptoms. Flax makes you fine!

What brand are you taking?

I too, have been taking Flaxseed oil other than my skin is very oil so I have to wash my face at night and then again in the morning to keep from getting bumps, I thinkt it is a good vitamins, for me at least.

Oh Lord, I don't want my boobies any bigger. I'm just not into that look for myself. From what I understand flaxseed helps to absorb the bad fats which should aid in the loss of weight.

Or maybe they were thinking about fenugreek seeds:confused: . An herb used to aid in milk production.

Me too. I've been taking it for 2 years. I haven't noticed any weight gain or loss. I have been at the same weight for years. I didn't notice any breast enhancement either....
