Flat Ironing

normally once every 8 weeks, unless I have a special function to attend then it may be twice in an 8 week period.

Although I love the look of my flat ironed hair, I just don't do it very often. It's usually only a few times between relaxer touch ups. If I had more time, I'd go for it more often (like once a week or once every two weeks).

I am just wondering how often do u all flat iron with relaxers? i am try to do it only once per week.

i would go to a salon and get it washed and flat ironed every two weeks. as long as you keep it wrapped up at night and care for it ( and try not to get your hair wet) it should last for more than a week. try not to do it more than once a week cause heat damage is no joke :nono: and only flat iron clean hair. im sure you've heard this already :)

oh and OOOH AH AH! at your siggy doll poppin and twistin :lachen:

How do u keep your hair straight if not flat ironing? I washed my hair last night after having the bantu knot out, and I tried to wrap it but my hair was so thick I dont think it will look great. I know my roots are flat so maybe i'll just flat iron my ends. Any suggestions?

after i wash it ,i either blowdry it out and do a crosswrap or let it airdry in twists and crosswrap. <<<<<that technique is what helps my ends flatten out. be sure to moisturize your ends first, but doing a crosswrap ALWAYs straigtens my ends out and dont have to flat iron

O.K. just looking at this old post and I would like to say that I no longer flat iron my hair once a week, today I will be flat ironing for the first time in a couple of months! Oh and now I know how to make my hair straight without heat. Thanks LHCF i've come a long way and still have a ways to go.
