The first time that I did a braid out, I looked like this :ohwell::

My second attempt came out pretty good and I think that I can go outside:



I followed Chinablk's youtube example. I think the difference was 1) Using less product and 2) a big braid at the crown.

I think after a couple of more attempts at trying to perfect the method, braid outs may be a keeper.

Thank you! I hope to get better at it!

I do not have a rinse in my hair but I do use henna with a little indigo in it about every two weeks.

I co-washed with D'Fina 10 en 1 (I trying to get rid of ALL of my conditioners as I wish to use Joico exclusively).

I then used a dime size (I can't believe I am saying that) amount of NTM and a dime size amount of olive oil.

That's it! This is be best my hair has ever felt. I had no idea that all this time my problem was that I was using too much product.
