I just had a very hard conversation with my SO. After 5 years of a long distance relationship, we were just not making it, so we had to go our separate ways. Our relationship was petering towards a close, and it had to be done. I don't feel very sad, or hurt, or crushed; it was time for things to change. I am just going to be single for a while and rediscover Nik. Had to get it out.
Peace. SD.

I am sorry to hear the news, but happy that you are letting go. I was actually hoping that this would read that you had finally found the right one. You will be open to finding him now that you have ended this relationship.

Wow, 5 years of long distance? I can only imagine how hard that would be. It's good that you realized what needed to be done and hopefully this opens doors to something bigger and better for you.

This is a refreshing thread. Good luck Diva!

Aww...sorry to hear about your breakup. :ohwell: I know that wasn't easy.

I'm sure it will probably be a little hard for you in the next few coming weeks...you might go through a wide-range of emotions and might feel up and perfectly fine one day, but then down and sad the next. So, just take it day by day.

It's good that it seems like you two both made a mature and amicable decision. Sometimes it may hurt, but in life it takes great humility and maturity to realize that a relationship just isn't going to work out...no matter how much the two of you love each other. In life, things are all about timing. If you know that the long distance relationship wasn't working for you, and wasn't helping you to get YOUR needs met, then it's good that you ended it. :yep:

I wish you the best! Now you can eventually make room for a very special guy for you in the future!
