I posted awhile ago, thanking all of the wonderful ladies for their advice. I think I have finally figured out how to put pictures in my signature (thanks Tijay).

I am mostly natural and the November picture was my first attempt at straightnening my hair :nono: Not the best job but I was very pleased at the growth.

Thank you everyone:grin: I am so grateful for finding this board. I had a lot of hair issues before. Finally after some bad braids I decided to just cut it all and start over...best decision I could have made.

My friends and family all talked about me when I cut it off and now they want to know how I get my hair to grow :lachen:

I am super protective of my hair now...I barely put heat in it when I tried to staighten it and then I wonder why it wasn't staighter:perplexed I think I will just stick to my wash n go.

Fantistic progress! You should be very proud of yourself...I know I'm proud of you...Congratulations! Keep it growing!

:shocked:OMG that progress is insane:shocked:
:FlahsssssI think this might be the most growth/retention Ive seen so far in the course of a year:drool:

What was ur reggie from when u chopped till now?

I hope my hair grows like that by May or June. Do you just do wash and gos? I pick my hair out (not all the way out) when I where my puff since the back looks like a shag right now and I just wear twists and cornrows. I don't comb my hair either or use heat. Your hair looks pretty.

Thank you ladies for all the compliments. I actually did the BC in August but I wore a wig until September (about 4 weeks) because I didn't like the way I looked and I was worried about what others would say:nuts: . Finally I got up enough nerve and threw the wig away and said wtf. Let them talk. Let them laugh.

Over the last 13-14 months I have experimented with a lot of different products until I finally found what works for me. I wash and condition my hair daily. I only comb my hair in the shower under running water. I henna:love:, and I take my vitamins(MSM, Biotin, Flaxseed Oil pill). I also deep condition once a week.

My products that I cant live without are African's Best Tea Tree and Shea Butter Moisturizer, Jamican Black Castor Oil, Salerm 21, ORS Replinishing Pack, Dudley's Moisturizing Conditioner, QP Conditioner (I mix all three conditioners for deep conditioning) and I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner for my daily washes.

Although I wish my hair was 12 inches it's not. From root to tip it is around 9 inches.
