Ladies Tips Please, I am finally going to relax my own hair!!!

I have not had a relaxer since November 11. I am finally going to relax my own hair tommorrow, but I need some advice, like do's and dont's. I don't want my hair bone straight. I am slow at applying the relaxer to my hair. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I am finally going to try and post pictures.

i self relaxed after stretching from thanksgiving, and it was a great experience. My fav tip is i put chi on my relaxed ends so i wouldnt go over them again. LONDONDIVA has some excellent tips in her fotoki. I did a thread after relaxing with before and after pics. Will try and post the link hold on.
