I have finally made SL. I know that may not seem like a lot especially on a board where it seems like everybody is making WL everyday. But I'm still excited! Just to know I'm making progress makes me happy! I haven't been full SL since high school. From my growth rate. I should be APL or at least close to it around April. The downside is thats probably around the same time I'll BC. :lachen: But now on to the pictures!!!

This is when I first started out back in May sometime.

I was surprised at how easy it was to flat iron my NG. It was the actually the relaxed ends that ended up a little bit crunchy. Thats how I know I'll probably never relax or permanently dye my hair ever again. I added a moisturizer and wrapped my hair. Hoping that helps some. But I'm still happy with my progress. Thanks for listening to a short-haired girl.

HHG!

Congrats. I have actually seen your siggy and you on the APL 2011 challenge. I knew you questioned making SL and I could tell by your siggy you were probably there. Congrats. On to APL!

HHG!

Making shoulder is a big deal, I know I was excited when I made SL. Congrats!!

retention is retention in my book! Congrats to you on achieving SL. APL here you come. Your hair even looks fuller :)

Thank you everybody! I never thought I could start growing my hair back to the lengths it use to be before this board. My stylist was always cutting my hair into some sort of "shape" every time I went to her and it just kept getting shorter and shorter. And the fact that my mom kept saying my hair would never be back to the lengths it used to be every time it got cut. Every one, here on LHCF, not only showed me HOW to help me retain length, but also help me get over the stigma that it wouldn't be possible to.

brg240 Yep! I am transitioning. Currently around 7.5 months post.

good luck with the rest of your transition! :) I'm glad lhfc has helped you on your hair journey. I wish people wouldn't tell others it won't be possible to grow their hair to certain lenghts :(
