FHI flat iron review

I have the 205RVI. I used it my first wash after my relaxer. My hair came out so bouncy as if I just left a dominican salon. This never happened on my "first wash" w/ my old hot tools flat iron. I'm anxious to see how it works on newgrowth. Also it felt so moisturizing. As I was using it I kept feeling that I didn't let my hair dry all the way but I did. When I was done, my hair felt so soft and silky. I've never been able to make my own hair look and feel like this so it must be the flat iron. This flat iron gets 5 stars*****!
Once again, thanks to: TigerLily, Crysdon, RushGirl, and Bocagirl for helping me in my decision to buy the FHI.

Glad you liked it!

I have an FHI (dont know the model but it has red plates too) and was also suprised at how well it worked! I have 7 weeks worth of new growth(over an inch) and this was the first time Ive flat ironed my own hair. I must say it turned out really nice and silky, almost as good as when I get it done at the salon. Hopefully with practice it will look as good or better! I think I put too much serum in it before flat ironing and had too much product in my hair, it was a little heavier(not as much swing and bounce) than when I get it done.

I think its healthier, but not neccesarily better. The less heat the less dryness and damage. I notice if I blow dry I get broken hairs everywhere, but when I flat iron with my ceramic iron I get few, if any broken hairs.

I think those things really do seal in moisture because after flat ironing my hair, I can keep the style for up to a week(unless I sweat it out from exercising), wrapping at night, and dont get any breakage for the while time. With my hair in its regular state, I get a little breakage daily, Im pretty sure due to dryness because my hair is porous and doesnt retain moisture well...

I'm glad you liked your results, lea5

YAY!!! So glad you joined the club.

The FHI (red plates) is THE best invention in haircare. Put it this way, if my house caught on fire, I would grab my son first and my FHI second.

Where is the best place to purchase this? I know they are available on ebay...are there any other sites you recommend? Also what is a good price? TIA.

I don't know of anywhere else to get them. if you get it from ebay, though, check out ebay store SmartDealsOnline. They ship really fast, great customer service, and they have a 30 day return policy, no questions asked! You can bid or buy it now, which will probably be around $80-$120 (guesstimate) including shipping.

I never would have thought about getting the FHI if it wasn't for you, girly. Thanks again!

P.S. - No pics until next touchup, which should be in 3 or 4 weeks. Sowwy!!!

This is the one that I saw this weekend too. I should have gotten it. I'm going back over there now that I see the review. I had pretty much decided on this one anyway. It's just really hard to part with $100 for a hair appliance.
