Well, this MTG has got my new growth SERIOUSLY growin! So, I guess I am gonna keep it conditioned a lil more. Anyway, I was looking for some new pre-poo's to try. Please share your favorites!

My favorite pre shampoo treatment is made up of:

1 part olive oil
1 part castor oil
1/4 [part] Aubrey aloe vera gel
Essential oils (Thyme, peppermint, sage, basil and rosemary)

This helps dissolve the build-up from products, softens my hair and allows me to be able to comb my hair a lot easier when I do get to the comb-out at the end. Less 'ouchies' for me.

My favorite pre-shampoo treatment is:

Aubrey Organics or The Vitamin Shoppe Jojoba Oil over entire scalp and hair--root to tip.

Then I apply Profective Healthy Ends to the ends of my hair. Sometimes I will apply Profectiv Mega Growth to the crown area of my hair, nape and edges.

Then I put a plastic cap on and let that sit at least 14 to 45 minutes. Proceed to the shower to shampoo.

I have been using the EVOO and cayenne mix on my scalp and Garnier Fructis mixed with EVOO on the length of my hair. So far, I'm happy with it ;)

Hey BC:

Is this a good moisturizer? What's it like?

It's made especially to be used as a pretreatment. It's really thick and contains oils and moisturizing ingredients:
vegetable glycerine, olive oil, oat protein, avocado oil, orange oil, lanolin, sweet almond oil, water, vitamin E, nettle extract, rosemary extract, fragrance.

You apply it to wet hair, let it sit for a while, then shampoo it out. I don't think it would really be possible to use it on dry hair--it's super thick and rich. It makes my hair really soft and....nourished, I guess is the best-fitting word I can think of.

I like using avocados and olive oil for my pre-poo.:)

Hey Cinna!

I'm going on a serious tight budget and I'm really going to look into using avocados and even creating my own butters.....oh boy!
