Anyone have any tips on how to do this? I've searched on the web and I keep running across using Prell shampoo. From what I've read you should wash with the Prell and leave it on for 45 minutes, then rinse and condition as usual. I'm hesitant to do this because I'm pretty sure it's gonna dry my hair out.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Probably using a regular sulfate shampoo should do.
Doing a baking soda rinse would also help.
Hot oil treatments also help.
