color rinse on dry hair

I was wondering if you can apply a color rinse on dry hair. I have already washed and deep conditioned my hair, it's currently in twists and is 100% dry. The instructions say to shampoo and towel dry hair, but I do not want to dry out my hair by washing it twice. Has anyone done this before?

I like to apply rinses to dry hair so that the hair can take the color better; there's no issue/problems doing it that way.
