Exhibiting Christ-like behavior and assertiveness

I don't think being a good Christian equates being a martyr, but where do you draw the line between being assertive when someone is being disrespectful (i.e. a co-worker)? I'm learning how to pick and choose my battles, but I don't want to be mistaken for being a pushover.

Thanks for posting this, I would like to know this too as I am experiencing the same thing at work. I get more assignments because as one person told me I am more pleasant to work with and he went as far to say that it must be my Christian demeanor. But my co-worker who claims to be a christian is mean and nasty to them and throws temper tantrums, I honestly think they are afraid of her. This has made me the go to person. How do you say it a nice Christian way, I'm not doing this??

I would like to know the answer to this also in the situation of an micro-managing, over-bearing peer. I pray constantly to be graceful all the time towards him but sometimes I fail.

I hope someone has some answers.

I'm learning the lines little by little, I used to have a mouth.
I think its just saying what you honestly feel (within reason) in the most polite way possible.
For example pulling them aside and saying look I understand XYZ but would appreciate if you would do ABC, rather than LMNO please.

Or I really cannot manage this many assignments just because of my demeanor. i will help where I can but it isn't fair that I should be overloaded this way. Please find a way or sorting it out with the other coworker.
Really hope it helps!

That was probably her way of saying "I'm not doing this." She got tired and got even.
