Re: Everything\'s A Leave-In!

i do this occasionally when i just want some intense moisture!

however, please try to limit this because im sure you guys dont want overconditioned hair! (this is for people doing daily co washes and leaving co in their hair daily)

Re: Everything\'s A Leave-In!

I use Humectress this way, but nothing else w/protein. And when my ends feel a little zapped, like this morning, I add Nature's Gate Aloe to avocado oil and my ends spring right back to life!

Re: Everything\'s A Leave-In!

That's how I use it Supergirl so that I can use it up. I don't like the DB moisturizing conditioner like I do the DB reconstructor.

Re: Everything\'s A Leave-In!

another thing i learned from allandra and others is that you can do rollersets with leave in conditioners and water and your hair comes out so soft and moisturized. I always believed that you had to use setting lotion, which really doesn't do anything but leave a film on my hair.

and to think, I used to go around buying different setting lotions, trying to pick whatever that clear stuff was that my stylist used in the spray bottle before she put the rollers in....and it NEVER came across to me that the clear stuff was just water!

Sometimes the easiest answers aren't always the clearest.

Re: Everything\'s A Leave-In!

Okay, how come this didn't work for me?

I tried this over a month ago w/my beloved PM Color conditioner and it just left my hair hard and stiff. I didn't use a whole lot... do you have to airdry to get the full benefits? I mean, my hair didn't shine or anything.

Re: Everything\'s A Leave-In!

Really? Hummm.... maybe you need a lighter conditioner? If you use too much your hair will look dull. I mix it w/oil to combat that effect and the conditioner I use has a high water content as well. If you want to use the same conditioner maybe you could put it in a spray bottle w/distilled water.

Mmmmm Hmmmmm

Dolce Dawn, how much did you use? Allandra taught me that you can only use a small amount of the cream conditioners as leave-ins. (like a dime or nickel size)
