Suave Milk & Honey Does Not Play ;)

With all the talk about Suave's Milk & Honey Conditioner I just had to go out and buy a bottle from Wal-Mart. It cost only .85 cents, dang. I'll try it tonight after my Nexxus Aloe Rid and CON shampoo. I hope it works well and if it doesn't I'll just re-wash my hair tomorrow. I'll write about it tomorrow.

. I just ran to Duane Reade during my lunch hour and bought both the Shampoo and Conditioner for a total of $2.78. It's still cheap though

.

I always use professional products in my hair and now I am a little bit scared to try this. Is it okay to use as your only conditioner (besides a leave-in

I use it as my only conditioner and my hair is always soft and detangled.

I hope this doesn't offened anyone but why are people so afraid to try this conditioner just because it's cheap. I understand that some are used to using salon products and that's fine but some people are truely concerned about using non-salon products. In my opinion any time you try a new product you run the risk of it not working for you and your hair suffering the repurcussions. Maybe I just don't understand the fuss about salon products and hopefully someone could help me to understand. They are expensive and just like non-salon products carry no guarantee that it is going to work for YOU. I mean just because it costs more doesn't mean that it is gonna workd for you. A $20 bottle of conditioner can make your hair a tangled mess just the same as a cheap bottle of conditioner can. I don't know but that's just my opinion.

ITA, Chocolate. IMO, Pantene and Suave conditioners work a lot better for me than salon conditioners (they're the only ones I use). But that's just my hair. I know it may not be the same for everyone else.

However, it's just conditioner. Really good conditioner that costs about a buck or less. If you don't like it, you'll be rinsing it out anyway.

Guess who found this one for 49 cents at a store going out of business I bought 7 already had 4 bottles.
I have been getting great bargins the last three months.
I did not even look at the vo5 conditioners.

I can't speak for everyone, but for me, I buy a salon product as a direct result of getting my hair done with the product and liking the effects. Every time I go to the salon, I ask what is being used on me and why. I've never been to a salon that uses (or say they use) suave. I have hairstylists in my family who reccomend what to buy and never use these products either. Plus, after years of going to stylists whose work you like and expertise you trust, it's natural to use the products they use.

Suave Milk & Honey and VO5 conditioners were one of the first products I bought when I first joined this board. I still use them and now I want to try other different scents. They're cheap and great for CO washes.

I have tried a lot of expensive salon brand conditioners which do nothing. I've realized that my hair likes the cheaper brands, I love Dove Moisturizing and will continue to use it and LUST as a leave in. Both work great for me and I have no complaints.

[/ QUOTE ]Well for me, I know that with SOME cosmetics, as with perfumes, the cheaper lot uses more synthetic and less fine ingredients (or notes in fragrance case), cheaper cost for them therefore cheaper cost for you, same can be said in clothing or footwear, the cheaper the clothes the less strong the material...it's just a universal quality thing. So when a product comes along with quality ingredients but a drastically cut price, it is a shocker. Yes I know sometimes the price is built completely on the name, but sometimes it is built on the quality.

I use this for conditioner washes. It leaves my hair nice and slippery. It's similar to the Suave Citrus Smoothie which is also a goodie.

I just bought the Suave Starwberry & Cream with the soy protein in it and this one is great. I must go pick up some right after I take out these braids.

i plan on using Suave Milk&Honey after I run outta Suave Tropical Coconut...I cant wait to see how it treats my hair!

Let us know how you like it.

I have to agree. The price was not an issue for me. A nappily natural friend of mine recommended the Suave Milk & Honey because it actually did a better job of softening and detangling her mane than Redken, Aveda, and Philosophy. I tried it and it works wonders for me as well. Im not the type of person that gets hung up on names or "designer labels". If a product is worthy, it's worthy no matter the cost. IMO, Suave is worth the money and more.

I really do WISH Suave would work for me b/c it is so cheap but I just never get good results.

I'm jealous of you guys who have good results with the cheapie suaves b/c you'll have more money to spend on other products.
