When I first started having trouble with dry hair I was instructed to try Aveda's Sap Moss line. It's all natural and is suppose to REALLY moisturize coarse hair. I was also told about Bumble and Bumble's Deeep Conditioner and their Hair Tonic. I've never tried these but was wondering if any of you ladies have tried any and had good reviews. Both are pricely so and I'm on a college budget at the moment. Aveda lists their ingredients on their site. To get B and B's catalog call 1-800-7bumble if you want to check it out.

Well, I actually have tried the Aveda Sap Moss shampoo only. I even bought this huge one liter bottle of it off of ebay (only a tiny dent has been made in it). There are two things you should know about this shampoo : 1. it smells like forest dirt/soil or something (ick) 2. its is very thick and rather hard to work into your hair w/o lots of water.

Since you are still on a budget, I'd say hold off. I personally think its a great shampoo to use after a hot oil treatment, but all on its own (for me..maybe not other folks) it still is pretty drying. I still can't get over the scent of it, its atrocious. If you can purchase a sample size from an aveda salon I'd do that first before getting a whole bottle. Its an acquired taste for sure...
