EP weave hair wearers: Do you take the base off?

This will be my first weave installed. I read some where that rinsing the base off of weave hair reduces itching. Is this necessary for extension plus hair?

I know their site has instructions on what to do before installing.

I haven't used mine in a while, but when I got it I shampooed and Deep Conditioned it and let it air dry.

I'm not sure what you mean by the base, but if its the shorter hair (some call this the beard), I usually dont but I have done it on the last track at the nape before. Generally with my EP hair all I do is wash, condition, and airdry and i'm good to go. Its very good hair imo. I only have the relaxed texture if that helps at all.

I never do that to any hair I've used and I haven't had any problems.
