i've never used this oil but i will however be taking a trip to the vitamine shoppe this weekend to get some. i will mix a little in my deep conditioners and i will also use it on my face at night.

Man... I'm gonna go broke if I stay on this site. :lachen: I'M SOLD!! I'm about to by myself some emu oil and whatever else I need to get to get things cracken:grin: Thanks, my sisters.

emu oil is God send. I use it on my scalp and it keeps it moisturized. i get mine from the v.shoppe. it doesn't smell. it's a keeper for me too.

I've tried the Vitamin Shoppe brand and I've tried the World Organics brand. IMO, the World Organics brand smells better.... not that the Vitamin Shoppe brand is horrid.

I bought some emu oil last year. I mixed it with my Mega Tek and OCT hoping it would help them penetrate better. I was reluctant to use it as my daily oil because of the expense. But after reading this thread and finding out that it doesn't aggravate acne or leave skin oily looking I may have found a whole new use for it.
I went to the LB Processors website. It doesn't appear as though you can get it in solid form from them anymore. The product description is there, but there is no link to buy it. That's really too bad...

I mix it with my surge virgin olive oil scalp balm and it works wonders.. I apply to my hair twice a day am and pm...

I just bought another bottle from the soapdish.com. 12$ for 4 oz, which is really not bad for this oil. I payed more with ThunderRidge

I dont know what this oil does for hair growth but I know it is good oil for moisturizing your scalp. It is not oily. I use it after I cleanse my face and it leaves it nice feeling and glowing. I keeps my ashy feet moisturized. I add it too everything for deeper penetration.

Can anyone tell me where to get the kind that does not smell like raw, greasy chicken, though?

No, seriously...

Because I threw out a brand new bottle a few months ago because it made me feel sick.
agreed sista! i actually started a thread about how nauseating the smell was a while back :nono:

I haven't used emu oil on my face yet. I got emu oil years ago and remembered it smelling like chicken grease. I threw it away. Fastfordward 5 years later, I was checking for some products that was good for people with sensitive skin/ezcema and emu oil popped up. I ordered some emu oil soaps and I have been hooked ever since. I can shower in the winter with this soap and my skin is moist, no need for moisturizers if I don't feel like it. I'm also using an emu oil facial wash call Whistle, it's like a lotion but for some reason it cleanses my skin without drying it out or making greasy. So far I'm very impressed, I plan on ordering some emu oil real soon.

Hey MileHigh, actually I stopped at some point during college b/c it was pricey, but it was also great. I dont know why I havent purchased it since, but I think I may get this as an early Christmas gift to me self! HAYYYYY lol
