YES YES YES...growth and thickness (abundant) is obtained from emu oil...I have been using it off and on since Oct 06'. Emu and oil is the only one i put on my scalp (Jojoba for ends) and it is well worth it...I ordered mine from www.longviewfarms.com after doing some extensive research on it.:D

I want to try this, is it expensive what size did you order?

I ordered 4 oz and it lasted me about 2mths..i then found another brand (thunderridge) at my local health food store, more expensive though

Locally, I found emu oil at the health food store....$27.99 for 4 ozs. I ordered it from eBay once but that was my first time getting it so I didn't know what to expect. Has anyone ever gotten theirs from eBay? If so, how does the quality compare?

We use emu oil for a variety of skin care issues. I bought a blend of emu, msm, capisan for DH for his arthritic neck - he complained about the price until he realized how well it works. I use it on my skin in a blend of a few other oils with excellent results; sometimes, I use it straight after microdemabrasion as well. When my grandson had a bad diaper rash that nothing would cure, I slathered it on his butt one night, and the redness was gone by morning. My daughter was skeptical until she saw the results. Heels, knees, elbows, dry skin - all are improved by the use of emu oil. Folligen has an emu oil blend for scalps that I just ordered yesterday to try. They advertise that if you have scalp problems, the use of emu oil after their copper peptide serum will make the copper penetrate deeper into the lower layers of skin for greater healing.

Emu oil is a multi-use wonder.

Alrighty now, a happy emu oil users. I tell you, emu oil is the ONLY thing I can use on my face when using Retin-A. All the other moisturizers made my face have this burning sensation.

Glad to know it's working for your Blackmaven :)

This very reason in bold is what pushed me over the top. I will order it. I hate that dang Burning sensation on my face!

u r welcome...hope u get as much length and strength as i did:)

which one did you get. I see many. (clear, pure, triple something.)
TIA

pateincevirtue---so i read that u use emu on ur scalp and jojoba on ur ends....is there a reason why u don't use the emu on ur ends as well?

tia!

honestly...i just like the way Jojoba feels on the length of my hair...but I use it on the scalp for its 7 layer penetrative properties...it does work;)

cool--thanks!
i've heard so much about both of these oils for soooo long--i'm gonna finally pick them up.

Thanks Pvirture. I have to do something for the burning sensation most of my moisturizers give me. I wouldn't even think about putting EMU on my hair ONLY because there are so many other 'great' oils out there for less. But for my face, it's worth the money.

This is information fromthe Folligen website about the use of emu oil for hair care:

"Hair Regrowth Within the past year many of our customers have reported that the combination of Folligen's Copper-Peptides and Emu Oil often produce drastic reductions in hair loss and increased hair growth. Although Emu Oil is used by many for reducing hair loss in various parts of the world, in the USA FDA regulations discourage the marketing of Emu Oil for hair restoration. Recently, Dr. Michael Holick (Boston University Medical Center) reported a clinical study that found Emu Oil accelerated skin regeneration and also stimulated hair growth. He wrote, "The hair follicles were more robust, the skin thickness was remarkably increased...Also, we discovered in the same test that over 80 percent of hair follicles that had been 'asleep' were awakened, and began growing hair".

LB processors sells a quart tub of solid emu (less liquified, but still very pliable-like hair grease) for $50. You get a LOT more and it lasts forever. I actually love the consistency.

Is there a website to get this emu oil in the tub that is thick like grease? Would love to contact them if you post the site. bonjour...thank you in advance.

I have researched EMU oil for months and was too cheap to pay $8 or more per ounce. Thanks to Melodee, I found LB processors on the web and got the tub for $50+s&H just like she said. Thanks ladies for doing the research for me. I am loving the advice on natural products...

I got mine from ebay for about $50 for a quart (32 ounces). THat's a good deal. It would be about $80 if I bought it anywhere else..... Let me look up the seller

this won't let me paste, but put "32 emu oil" into ebay's search engine. I can't believe you paid 28 dollars for 4 ounces, compared to this price:eek:.

Thank you, much for this info! I'm going to check this right now.:D

I haven't tried using Emu oil on my hair or scalp but I used to have real bad acne on my cheeks and emu oil was the ONLY thing that cleared my skin. My face has remained clear ever since (and as long as I stay away from soda.) Dr. Pepper, I miss you!!

I use emu oil on my sore joints, esp. after a long run. I added some drops to my alma/brahmi/castor oil mix just for the heck of it. LOVE this stuff!!!:D

I am so happy I ordered this. I saw someone call it 'the miracle oil'. I thought, "That oiled can not be that good." YES, Emu is really that good. I use to have awfully dry skin from the retin-A. I started using the Emu oil and my skin was so soft and moist. Also, when i put this oil my face, my face is not all greasy looking. (WHAT, How can this be right???) It's really true. I hated putting any oil on my face because I looked like an oily mess. Nope, not with EMU oil. This stuff is great.

Sidenote: Sensitive Skin Care makes an Aloe and Emu cream for your face. I just knew I loved this cream. (and i hate creams on my face) I didn't know anything about Aloe or Emu for the skin. Now, that I know about these 2 products, I see why that cream is such a dream cream!

1 more Sidenote: I have very oily skin. It only get dry from the Retin-A drying it out.

Hey Letitia

Did you order your emu oil from longview farms and if so which one did you get?? TIA
