After reading one or two threads on Emu oil, dating back months and months I decided to give it a try, feeling I had nothing else to lose. Well after applying it on dry hair I immediately noticed a difference, it was softer, more supple, it just felt rich. But I knew that the real test would be after a wash. Well let me tell you something, the results were even better! I am so thrilled! At first I was afraid to purchase it because it was sooo expensive at the Vitamine Shoppe and I had been disappointed so many times before, but I know that its worth it. My rollersets are a dream!! I want to by this thing in a larger quantity to save on costs. Any thoughts on this miracle oil? ( NO exaggeration included!)

FromNatureWithLove makes a good quality product for a decent price. There are lots of ladies who use this and buy it in bulk from various resources.

Glad you like it!

I love emu oil -I use it on my scalp and as a moisturizer on my face at night. It's truly a miracle oil. I got burned from a chemical peel on a Thrusday, started applying emu oil to the areas and by Sunday morning the scab had flaked off and left no visable scar.

Emu oil is here to stay for me :)

I really like emu oil also. It healed my dry scalp near my forehead. I order mine form Longview Farms. Their emu oil lip balm is excellent also.

thanks for posting this... i've been wondering about emu oil (to use on hair and skin) and didn't know if i could buy it without ordering online.

i will be checking Vitamine Shoppe this week...

Can anyone tell me where to get the kind that does not smell like raw, greasy chicken, though?

No, seriously...

Because I threw out a brand new bottle a few months ago because it made me feel sick.

Emu oil has done wonders for my scalp. I had an allergic reaction to surge and it help heal it right up. I also use shemu butter(a combo of shea butter and emul) on my scalp and ends.

I love it to. From my understanding and what I have read, emu oil goes down right throught the seven layers so for those using MN and or Sulfur this might help see great growth. Not sure if you want those products to go down to the seven layers or not but it works it helps with my ezcema and dry scalp. I only have dry scalp in my back middle of my hair and I put the emu oil and there and it soothes it right away. Its expensive. I have to go get more I spent 50 dollars for 16 oz and from my understanding thats cheap. I want to get it from a farm not to far from here but haven't did any research on it. But you are right its great stuff it works wonders for my hair and my daughters hair. No growth, haven't seen that yet.

:lachen: NoNapNique, the emu oil I order from Longview Farms does not smell like raw greasy chicken :lachen:

I sure do wanna get some but.... I can't be payin 50 dollars for 16 oz of oil. Me and my husband are too cheap for that! :)

The gel caps are 14.95 for 1000mg. The oil is 12.95 for 2 ounces. But I guess 50 bucks for 20 ounces is kinda cheap. They have the one ounce size for 7.95.

Here is the link again...they also have the emu oil shampoo and conditioners and skin stuff too. I haven't tried it yet but maybe one day.
I like that company a lot though and haven't ever had any problems with them so I might be a little biased!

Alrighty now, a happy emu oil users. I tell you, emu oil is the ONLY thing I can use on my face when using Retin-A. All the other moisturizers made my face have this burning sensation.

Glad to know it's working for your Blackmaven :)

LB processors sells a quart tub of solid emu (less liquified, but still very pliable-like hair grease) for $50. You get a LOT more and it lasts forever. I actually love the consistency.

Can you post the link to the company?

Thanks!

I add emu oil to my conditioners, oil cococtions, and I use it in my salve concoction with calendula and collidial silver. I use it on my face too; after microdermabrasion. It's good stuff.
