it smells good to me. i love it but it dosent work on my texturized hair like it did for my natural hair:nono: I still love it though

Hi girls! I've probably posted this a bunch of times but I'll give it a shot again. I read in a really old thread years back that a good way to use EQP MB if it doesn't work for you straight is to add a couple tablespoons or so of any oils, butters, and a little instant conditioner of choice to make the EQP take on more of lighter, whipped texture with more moisture. I used to swear by this and recently bought more Mango Butter to try it out again.... So someone should try this and see how it works.

My hair laughed at this stuff. seriously. Gave me zero moisture, but my hair responds to few products anyway.

I ended up giving it away at one of the meetups.

It works well when I want to wear a slick pony tail. I use a little water, a little mango butter, then tie my hair down. It does a good job of laying the hair flat.

it's great for baggying/moisturizing the ends or to tame the new growth. I'm relaxed BTW. I ran out of it, but I will purchase some more.

Thanks for this suggestion! I will try it next time I use it:yep:

I don't care for it either. It is just missing something. Everything seems just right, but then not so much.

Thumbs down for me.

Never used it with heat though. I just tried it on my ends as a moisturizer.

Same here. It did nothing for my hair.

The most important trial was on my dd's hair. I've been looking for something to replace Dudley's Creme Press as a seal for her ends. But the Creme Press did a better job! QPMB left her ends dry and HARD. Not as hard as Carol's Daughter's products, but hard enough for me not to use it again. I am still looking for a cheaper but still efficient replacement to my JC Nourish & Shine.

I don't know what to do with my bottle. Maybe I could figure out what to do with it. I don't wanna try it on my edges. My hair is looking too good after my wash yesterday to risk messin it up...:lachen:

I've used this product in the past on my edges and my ends with texlaxed straighened styles. Always worked liked magic!

...it's funny what works for some and not others.:ohwell:

I love this product. It's one of my staples. I use it as a moisturizer daily (all over my hair not just the ends) and then I seal it with just a little bit of coconut oil. It keeps my hair protected. Or after I co-wash, I may rub a little bit of Mango Butter through my hair and let it air dry.

phew! i was about to kirk ova here cause i just used it for the 1st time ever today and i bought the jar yesterday. i did read the instructions so i made sure i used my heat 1st. i will say the scent is very strong, i'm not a fan of it but it is pleasant. so far, i like the EQPMB and it is going to be a staple until further notice.

eta: i just re-read the instructions. they r not clear. i assumed that it meant to use on dry hair. but it does say thermal protectant. so i dunno.

It was nice and silky when I first used it. :yep: I was really impressed, and the smell is "heavenly!" :woot: The following morning I was so shocked that my ends were so dry--bone dry. :wallbash: I said to myself: "What happened to my ends?!" I decided to pour some olive oil in it--which made it better--but I won't be replacing it. Also, it will "mold" if it sits for a while . . . so it's best to put it in the freezer if you don't use it often--like me. :yep:
