I know you're a londoner so i'll tell you it's not that expensive for me as I buy the Tesco Value range of eggs 15 eggs for £1.11

£2.22 a week for faster hair growth for me won't break the bank.

i find the growth is consistent. It doesn't really slow down or hasn't as of yet. I don't eat particularly healthy, I have polycystic ovaries which effects my cycle and effects my hormone levels (they are literally backwards). Luckliy for me it hasn't affected my hair (some women's hair can thin out) but I've been told by my doctor I'm not a typical physical case for someone who has PCOS (shorter, fatter, excess body hair) I'm tall, slim with an athletic build, no excess body hair. This as well didn't affect the growth as I've been getting thicker hair frm the protein.

To answer your last question, yes I do think I would get more growth. I think there would probably be a limit, when the body goes "whoa no more there's only so much growth I can give you this month!!", but I think 4 for me is sufficient to gain close to or a good inch per month along with the use of surge.

Here are 2 links to old threads about eggs and the effect on hair growth.

Hi,
Are you leaving out the yolk because of the fat content or something else?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nah

It's because I usually over boil the egg and the yolk get a greyish lining. I'm all for fat content...bring it on, I'm tired of being slim anyway. I eat like a little piglet, but I'm not too keen on the yolk. I couldn't down 4 eggs a day yolk and all, I'd feel too full and sick.

Not Surging. But I have been taking my vitamins consistently for the last three months and getting great results. I'm already getting and inch a month. But this seems too effortless not to try. Shoot, maybe I can up that to 1.5 or 2.

Just so people know. Eggs WHITES don't have cholesterol. I know some people were concerned about the cholesterol in the eggs.

I can't STAND boiled eggs (last year I ate so many due to my training that the thought alone makes me wanna

.)

However, I've implemented Egg Protein in powder form into my protein shakes, oatmeal & various hot cereals some mornings. I can't say I've noticed anything as far as my hair is concerned (done great things for my muscle development though!). The great thing about the powder is there's no smell and you don't have to worry about keeping it refrigerated so you can take it w/you!

Another variation is liquid egg whites (this gets to be very expensive very quickly though) mixed w/protein shakes. You can buy them pasteurized so they're perfectly safe and the texture is 100% undetectable when mixed w/protein.

I guess the largest concern is the amount of protein your consuming daily plus your amino acids. Eggs have 100% bioavailability so it's your best option for maximum utilization of the protein you intake. For additional amino acid supplementation I use TwinLabs Mass Amino Fuel, it has both the essentials and nonessentials.

I've learned that the whole egg has everything we need for life, including all of the amino acids. I've never eaten just egg whites until recently but I'm eating at least one yolk with it. My other yolks will get eaten eventually.

"It depends on how long I've boiled the egg. Sometimes I boil it for so long that part of the yolk gets a grey lining and I don't eat it. If the egg yolk is OK but I've put it in the fridge overnight I still won't eat the yolk. I'll only eat it if it looks yellow and was boiled that same day. 99.9% of the time it was just the whole boiled egg white that I was eating."

LD: To get perfect boiled eggs: Put eggs in pot and cover with cold water. Bring water to the boil, remove the pot from the heat, and cover it. Let it stand 15 minutes. Drain and cover with running cold water until eggs are cool enough to handle, and peel. This works every time!

Also, this week's (dated March 16) Woman's World, which is available at the check-out stand in the grocery store, has an egg diet in it which debunks some of the cholestral myths and promises weight loss to boot! I like boiled eggs, so will give this a try. They advise up to 4 eggs a day, by the way.

OK another update,

I'm going to relax on wednesday, i really wanted to do it yesterday but my hair needed one more wash and my hair was so dry and tangled it needed some good moisture in the form of water to combat it.

My hair has grown grown grown. This is the 1st time I've given an update with unrelaxed re-growth as opposed to freshly relaxed hair. I took a few sections from the back and looked in the mirrors in my bathroom (my mirrors are positioned so I can see the back of my hair with ease. I have at least 1.5 inches going on in the back. Unstretched it looks about 0.5 inches. It's so thick, I'm dreading touch up day, but I'm looking forward to seeing the results. The whole bottom half of my head is about 1.5 inches the top half anything from 0.5 to 0.75 inches. It grows slower up there, but hey that's better than nothing. My last touch up was 22nd Feb 04 so that will be about 6 weeks of growth. Still on the 4 eggs a day and surging. I'm back on the biotin too to see if I can boost this further. I trimmed the ends this morning also so I won't see much of a difference on Wednesday, but health is moreso important than length.

Just thought I'd keep you guys posted.

Wow, that's great progress Londondiva. You've got me motivated over here. I'm still getting my little two eggs a day. Thanks for the update
