So last night after playing spades, some friends remained at my house. My hair is usally up, but since I was home for the night I pulled my bobby pins out and let my hair down because I would be moisturizing after they left. 3 times a guy friend of mine pulled my hair!!!! I am not talking about softly either, he grabbed an ample amount and yanked hard!! I was just simply sitting next to him, and I clearly told him to STOP after the first time he did it. He of course does not know about my "hair obssession" so he did not take me seriously. I was verrrrrrrrry close to simply putting him out of my house or grabbing my meat cleaver , but I restrained myself. I was just wondering how do you ladies deal with unwanted people touching/pulling on your hair.. short of catching a murder charge.

Fortunetly I haven't really had this probelem. The worse I've had was someone ask me if I had weave.
I guess it's a compliment but I can see how that can be frustrating. I wouldn't want somebody's unwelcomed hands in my hair, or touching me in any way.
It's a sticky situation because if you politely tell him not to pull your hair it might be assume that it's a weave. But it might just be best to tell people that you are tender headed, even if you aren't, and keep them on their toes.

I've had several co-workers do this (one in particular every single time I'd get it done) and my even my aunt once under the guise of seeing how pretty and soft it was snuck her hand up the back and gave a tug! Even if it had been a weave, pulling it still would have hurt! And if it had come out in her hand, then what? Was she planning to pay to have it put back in. I don't understand what people are thinking sometimes, if they are thinking...We should start asking them "What were you thinking when you pulled on my hair like that?! That mess hurt!" I wonder if anyone would have any kind of answer?

The girl at work I had to finally just tell her to back the hell up and keep her hands to herself. Not in those exact words, though, but she got the message and we were able to remain "cool", you know.

yeah.. my main thing is that I don't pull a comb all the way through my hair because of fear of breakage, and then fools come pull my hair & i become freaked that my hair will break

one of my friends pulled my hair and i told her to stop. she thought i was joking and she pulled it again and i turned, looked her in the eye and said i would slap the sh%t out of her. of course she was scared and stopped. i would have seriously done it. i dont play with my hair

I used to HATE when people would touch my hair. And that was back in the day before I got real serious about my hair. If that happened now, I would have to get real ghetto on someone's @ss.

Touching my hair is defintitely a big no-no!
