I'll explain it, but you're gonna have to share what you think
It's when you your hair clipped when it's dry (wet may work too). Dusting is when they remove enough hair to create a light "dusting" on the floor, as opposed to removing an inch.

I've also heard people refer to it as removing 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Now you have to tell is what you thought it was!!!!

I've heard some strange hair routines on the websites I've been to, like burying a hamhock under a full moon or rubbing a raw potatoe on a bald spot - something like that...

After hearing those baby powder isn't a far stretch Thanks y'all for setting me straight

To me dusting is searching through your hair and cutting only the splits out. No trim, no length lost... just no splits.

This method has been working for me. After about a month of regular dusting, maybe once a week on average, I am unable to dust my hair because I am finding no splits.

It's also taking a very tiny amount off all around.
