Duo Tex users...

Ok, I know that the directions in the bottle don't say that this product can be used with heat but how many of you guys are applying heat with this product? I was thinking of doing this next time I wash my hair with it and I was wondering what you guys thought. Do you think this can do more damage to my hair? Should I just follow the directions? What do ya'll think?

I don't think it could do more damage but I have never used it with heat. I don't see how 5-10 minutes under a dryer could hurt. When you need serious protien this might do the trick

I have not used the product by itself with heat but I have mixed it in with another conditioner and used with heat.

I've done this, too...but not in years. In recent times, I've mixed with other conditioners but without heat and used as directed.

If you try it alone with heat, please let us know how it worked out.

Sometimes I use with heat and sometimes I don't, but my hair turns out the same way -- strong and soft...I keep waiting for it to make my hair hard, but it never does. I used this evening with no heat, but I did use heat last week.

I just bought some Duo Tex and I'm going to try it w/ heat some time this week. I'll post back and let you know how it works for me.

I haven't used it with heat before but I would say don't leave it on for too long and make sure you follow with a good moisturing conditioner. That was my first mistake after joining LHCF when I purchased this product. I had tons of shedding and breakage because of too much protein.

The Duo Tex has been calling my name and I just had to use it, tonight. I just finished sitting under the dryer for 15 min. and ended up having it on my hair for an additional 15 min. b/c I had an important phone call. When I rinsed my hair, it felt great! It's very soft, strong and not hard, at all. I'm sitting under the dryer as I type, right now, w/ my moisturizing conditioner, while trying not to fall asleep.
