DOUBLE process...AND braids....products? techniques?

I'm a braid devotee...and must use color. I've looked in the color thread, which had really good info, but was short on brand names....ie. products to use for folks who color, possible relax (not in that order) and then braid.
I hear about rinses, which make sense since braids aren't washed as often...but which ones? and what about these demi-permanents, pro? con?

If you don't mind me asking, are you using color to cover gray hair?
