I have never bought this because of the ingredients. Wasn't sure so I double checked, but the first ingredient is mineral oil. I wouldn't use this, especially on my scalp.

Ingredients

Mineral Oil , Sweet Almond Oil , Meadowfoam Seed Oil , Shea Butter , Retinol Vitamin A , Ergocaliferol Vitamin D , Tocopherol Vitamin E , Matricaria Extract , Goldenseed Extract , Hops Extract , Soap Bark Extract , Wheat Germ Oil , Cherry Bark Extract , Calendula Extract , Henna Extract , Horsetail Extract , Safflower Oil , Lanolin Oil , Propylparaben , Fragrance , D&C Yellow No. 11 , D&C Red No. 17

Mineral oil isn't the boogeyman everyone makes it out to be. A lot of the hyped up products that are faves on this board contain mineral oil: Nexxus Humectress and Keracare Humecto I believe and I know for sure Joico K-Pak deep penetrating reconstructor does. Anyhoo, it depends on which doo gro product you are using. Unless I am missing something and mineral oil has another name I'm not aware of the Mega thick growth oil does not contain MO and I use it to oil my scalp.

here are the ingredients: soybean oil, soy methyl ester, sweet almond oil, oat extract, oat protein, meadowfoam seed oil, shea butter extract, france, propylparaben, BHA, tea tree oil, retinol (vitamin A), ergocaliferol (vitamin D), Tocopherol (vitamin E), Matricaria Extract, Goldensee Extract, Hops Extract, Soap Bark Extract, Cherry Bark Extract, Calendula Extract, Henna Extract, Horsetail extract, Safflower Oil.

I used to use it... the first ingredient in it is mineral oil though.
There was no real reason I stopped using it other than started using other products... I don't focus so much on whether something has mineral oil or not since my hair does fine with mineral oil.

FYI They have a two other oils( thickening and anti-itch) without mineral oil that give great results and growth also .

This sounds like a great set of ingredients minus the Mineral oil and paraben of course.

I wouldn't personally use mineral oil on my scalp because it's been proven to clog pores and hair follicles...why would I do that with all the natural oils minus the mineral oils on the market? It's a shame because it could have been a good product if they took out the mineral oil. :ohwell:
