I have always answered every pm I have gotten. Now if a question has been posted in a thread that I didn't start, I may not go back to that thread so the question may not be answered. I remember when I first joined, people wouldn't answer my pm's and that made me a better member because I would never do anyone like that.

I just can't believe anyone would do that. It's so unbelievably RUDE. I understand when someone is busy and can't answer right away; or, someone has a lot of PM's that they simply can't get to, but then you see them online all the time and you wonder: have they just ignored me?

Yeah we are here for hair, but it still is not as serious as people make it at times. For the one person that does not share a regimen, for example, there are hundreds of others that will. It just is not that serious.

Yeah, that's true, too! And sometimes when I'm not thinking clearly I'll fall into that category. But in the larger scheme of things, it's really not that serious.:yep:

I have too and it leaves me looking like :ohwell:.

What I don't care for is "I got it at a store in Atlanta/Philly/New York/E. Los Angeles/Your City". Could you PLEASE tell us the name of the store? Do you know how many stores are in Atlanta/Philly/New York/E. Los Angeles/Your City?

On a positive note I sure do appreciate the ladies who are willing to share just about everything about their hair and how they do things like the different MN mixes, regimes, etc. I especially appreciated DLewis's tutorial on flexi rods...man, I needed that BIG time...I actually feel like I could do it now.

My first post was asking how to do a roller set and dlewis gave me a detailed tutorial on it. I really appreciated that. :yep:

Example:

Thread title: "Fantastical hair growth formula"

OP: Wow! This product is so amazing my hair is the bestest it's ever been!

Replies: What's the name of the product? (man you know you knew someone was gonna ask)

OP: I dunno it's just some stuff I picked up (that I know the name of and ain't telling you because I know full well I'm buying it again)

Replies: I gotta get me some of that!:yep:

Or

Thread title: Majestical hair potion!

OP: I loooooooooove this stuff. My hair feels so swell. Gotta run, I will be back to post later.

Replies: Wow, I can't wait til she gets back.

*tumble weeds rolls by in the breeze*

*jeapordy song plays in the background*

*12 hours later*

OP: Yeah yall this is some good stuff:rolleyes:

Please stop begging these people for info that they don't want to give up it's not that serious! I used to ask once and that's it but now when I see the cat and mouse game I hit the back button if I need info I'll get it from someone else later.

Somebody had to say it. :saythat:

Uuuh I'm sure you didn't mean it to be but this is hilarious!:lachen:...:look:

Um, I don't know about anyone else but I had threads that say "Pix included" and there's a fotki link....Then, don't let it be pass word protected....

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I usually click right out.

I think most would agree that people should be willing to help but also those who are being helped should be thankful.

I have typed out long long long pm's to newer members to never hear from them again until the next hair crisis. Maybe that's why some don't even bother answering pm's.

Most of the members (95%) here are very helpful and will work with you until you figure it out.

ITA. Even worse, sometimes you offer advice/help that they don't even take anyway . Sometimes I wonder what the point is in asking if they're not gonna make the effort.

I have had a pm or two ignored. Yea it hurts my feelings a lil' but whatever. Some people just don't wanna be bothered, I guess.

As a new member, two members that I pm for their regimens and other infornation are:

stargazer613 - Very generous with time and information. Answered all my questions.
and
pinkskates - very generous giving lots of information. She even took the the time to answer my questions before I came on this baord. Thanks!

I truly appreciate this and will always be grateful. When I have some semblance of hair success in the future I would love to help anyone who is interested. I think being generous with time and information kinda tells alot about the type of person you are.

That's important to remember. Some people just pick your brains then go along about their business. :ohwell:
:lachen:see now those folks gon feel they can't win from losing. Ya'll would be calling them stalkers if they kept after you for more info and kept in random contact. I can hear ya'll saying "ok I answered your hair questions, now who da helz said I wanted to be your LHCF line sista gurlfriend?:lachen:

Should probably be posted in all of the forums....

When you take the time to post a thread title that is supposed to draw people in.....

Then you rave about what something did for you....

Can you please post the name of the product (not just oil, shampoo, or conditioner) and the brand and where you found it?

I mean really if you're gonna keep a secret then keep it don't try to have people sweating you on some "I know something you don't know stuff".

Thank you for saying it. The only way the women here can achieve their goals is to support each other. I have only had one message I sent to a OP responded to with a snippy 'Do a search!' It would have been just as easy for her to give me the answer but I just realized that not everyone wants to help.
I do understand why long-term members might get sick of answering the same questions. But unfortunately the search system doesn't help as much as it should.
But in defense of the majority of the women on this board - I think that most love to help and do. But when I see a thread title like '...ooohhh, my hair feels like...' then I know to stay away. I can't be bothered with the cat and mouse games and don't know why anyone would want to waste pages of this forum while the members BEG for the answer/name of item/address/website. Give it a rest and help your sisters out.
