Dominican's use different products in their hair

I am still in NY taking care of business and well I went into the salon on Tuesday. Because it was very slow, the owner of the salon was getting her hair done by one of the workers there. Well this was a treat for me, because I now got to see what she was going to use from her display case. I always wondered if the stylists themselves use the same products that they use on their clients and well maybe some of them do, but this one does not!

She has naturally curly (waistlength when straightened) hair, which I thought was relaxed all of this time. Well I couldn't see what was used on her for the wash and deep condition, but when she was about to be rollerset, she had the stylist take out Alter Ego bio styling serum and had the stylist massage it into her scalp for atleast 5 minutes. Then the stylist picked up the nacidit leave in (she uses this on almost everyone) and the owner stopped her and asked her to get some red bottle which said "Tahoe" on the side. I can't find this stuff anywhere and well I was chicken to ask her about it (I will peak next time I'm in). Then the hair was starting to get dry, so the stylist was going for the diluted water (I have no idea what is in there) bottle, and the owner stopped her and told her to get the AG fast food to spray her hair with and then she proceeded to rollerset.

So these are 3 products that were taken from mid- the back of the glass case, which I have never seen used and that I'm now going to look into lol. I will have to get a closer look at this red Tahoe, because I can't find it anywhere online. This was just interesting to me. I'm happy with how my hair comes out when I go, but I wonder if it would come out better with these products? I didn't stay long enough to see her hair after it was dried, because she became busy with customers and didn't get to sit under the dryer.

Anyways, I thought I'd share. Has anyone ever heard of some red bottled "Tahoe??" Maybe I was reading it wrong, because I don't understand how it can't be found anywhere online :ohwell:

THanks Energist! I have heard that alot of dominican stylists are using AG Fast Food. You got me curious about the Tahoe stuff. I would be interesting to find out what it is....

Where can I order the AG Fast Food? I read about this a few months ago.

I've seen it at Bluebeez.com. Tahoe....Very Interesting.......:peek2::scratchch. Thanks for reporting. I want to try more alter ego products because that garlic treatment I will not be without.
*off to investigate....

I was trying to help you search for your mystery product. All I could find in a red bottle similar was "Toque" Emergencia products. It's on bluebeez. I hope you can find the exact product and give us an update.

Could this be it? That's the closest thing I could find based on the description.

I believe AG Fast Food is made by a Canadian company. I bought the whole set for dry hair by recommendation. It was horrible on my hair. It is loaded with cones, and of course I can't do any type of cones. I just did one wash and my hair was loaded with some kind of "stuff" that was really slick and shiny.:perplexed

I've used AG Fast Food leave-on and it worked okay. I prefer Lacio.

But I got my Fast Food from a salon in Atlanta that has free shipping! I can't remember the name of the salon - it was a man's first and last name- I found it by Googling AG Fast Food leave-on.

Ooh, this is intriguing. I hope Energist chimes in and lets us know if that bottle looks like what she saw. That was some great detective work, chica!

I just got back from the hairdresser and the owner wasn't in (thank goodness because I was all up in her glass case). Her assistant is very friendly and she was there and didn't mind me checking the stash in the case. I found the 2 products that the stylist put in her hair.

After looking at the sites that these products came from, I believe that they are most likely not known to the English public and are probably only available through Latin salons. I did a random search and some don't bring up anything, and a few bring up the sites that I listed below... so you won't find this at your ibeautyny.com , bluebeez.com, or metrobeauty sites. I'll be doing more research on them before I make any type of purchase, but I wanted to share my findings with those of you who are interested :sekret:

The leave in conditioner came from Tahe (www.tahe.com) and I needed babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) to translate the page. She has the Essence Line as well as Natural Hair line in her case. She used this
ESSENCE-TRAT-200G.gif

(Translated) It is a reconstructive and re-hidratante intensive treatment that regenerates and reconstructs the hair damaged by chemical processes or environmental effects.

The serum came from www.bysimone.com and it comes from the Wontersil (fresh cells)

Hi ladies...just want add a correction: the actual link for the website is www.tahe.es

If you look at the upper left hand corner of your screen (once you log onto the site), under the word Tahe, you'll see a row of flags. Click on the British flag to see the site in english. HTH

interesting thread. I use to wonder this about my old stylist too b/c she never seemed to use the products she used on her customers, either.
