I've had this chart for a while in the inspirations section of my album, but i doubt that if i charted my growth over a 4 year period it would be anything like this. I'm just wondering if anyone here has made this type of progress in a 4 year period. I've just gotten on the Cysteine wagon, so hopefully things are set to change...

I went from the "One Year" mark to the "Two Year" mark in about a year, trims included. I hope to be at BSL by next spring. :)

I am at the one year mark, give or take a couple inches, and I have been growing my hair since April 2004 (I think it's a little longer though). The only difference is that I didn't start from a bald head. :ohwell: Year two should have me at shoulder-length with the back reaching past my shoulders. Seems like I am right on track, sorta

Is there a link to this chart? I can't read the words too well . . .

That's great progress for one year! Does your hair grow at an equal speed all over your head? My crown grows faster than everywhere else.

NO! Only my crown/back grows at that rate (1" per month). I probably gained 4 inches in the front area since last year.

I'm not sure where it came from originally, but this is the size it was when i downloaded it. Tiny words unfortunately...

I am currently in between the two year and three year mark (around 16 inches). I would be further along if it weren't for the cuts I had. Oh well, I am not cutting my hair again until it is past bra strap! LOL

I know it's a long shot, but do you remember where you got this chart from? I am just curious to see what went along with it. It is very interesting.

I have this chart saved on my computer from last year when someone posted it in a thread. :yep:

i started at 1.5 years. hopefully by the end of this year, ill be at 2 years. I dont think my hair grows really fast but im tryin gmy best and i dont want to raise my hopes up to high

I started around an inch below the one year mark and now I'm hitting my shoulder blades. The only thing is, I have no idea about the rate that my hair grows.

That chart is at http://longhair.org/main.htm then select Haircare then select Growth. The writing is in regular type next to the chart. This hair site was the first one I found and inspired me to try again with knowledge to grow long hair. Not just wishful thinking. I learned so much and made excellent progress in just months.

Thank You!!! :)

What were some of the most useful things you learned on the other long hair site? Were there any that you felt helped the most on your long hair quest?

Wow you know I really don't know. I think I get just under an inch a month so if im right that would put me just under the two year mark in just under a year :ohwell:. I 've never been good at measuring.

To Jamiette,

The fact that this site was devoted to long hair the information came together with the understanding it was for achieving long hair. Hope that made since. For example any one can have short heathy hair. That is on average only one years growth so how much harm can the average person do in a year. Its getting it past those 1 and 2 year marks. So their info all combined as it is seemed to klick for me. Its not that it was so profound either.
I was rough on my hair combing and did not consciously use protective style. I started to notice all the times my hair was catching and breaking on things and the tangles from twistys, hair pins. clothes etc. I was amazed as to how much it was. I gave up the brush and changed my whole approach to combing. The bangs also went. Then the moisture thing really became cristylized for me. Being that they were just as enthusiasctic about the one thing I wanted, long hair, was very inspiring and it showed they knew about hair. No critisising there for wanting long hair. I came to understand my hair for the first time and really started to like it. There was no fooling you into thinking you can get away with no protection, chemicals, or quick fixes and still have a good chance at reaching your goals. I liked the love of long hair attitude.

It was my first site then I found a natural long hair site. I later found LHCF. I came back to the LHCF when the amount of naturals on the site really increased.
