Does everybody have a "curl pattern"?

Well, I had beautiful 3c curl pattern..in the back! The front was just 'cottonball' thanks to genetics on my mom's side, on two thirds of my head I had no 'curl pattern'. Made my 'wash-n-go' look like "wash-n-wth?" :/

:lachen: :lol: Too funny!

I think people who have hair that's not 1-1c have some sort of curl pattern. There might be black folks who don't have curly hair (in the 1-1c category, although I haven't seen it). But I also think you can have a "curl pattern" that cannot be defined by creams, gel, and the like. That doesn't mean that when you pluck a strand of hair that it does not have a curl pattern to it--your individual strands just don't clump into larger curls/coils with or without product.

LOL @ "wash-n-wth?" :lachen::lachen::lachen:

For me the entirety of my hair doesn't fit into one category of patterns. I just describe my hair as miscellaneous. I have a mixture of loose waves, tight curls, loose curls, and tight waves. It all varies depending on the section of my head. That's simply the way it grows, so I don't have an issue with it. I think for the most part, many people have multiple textures, but it seems to be that people are so focused on trying to 'label' their hair and shove it one category.
