Does baggying just ends do anything?

I haven't really washed my hair since the last hair post I made:look:.. I can't remember how to find it right now lol.

Anyway, my hair's still blowdried, and regardless of heat/no heat, moisturising /no moisturising, I'm prone to splits. I don't think I'll moisturise my straightened hair in future though because water-based moisturisers just makes my ends a bit bushy /damaged Looking compared to the rest of my hair. So would bagging alone do anything? Has anyone else used it as an alternative to moisturising?

The only time that I do baggying, with no moisturizer, is when I press my hair. At night, when I go to bed, I twist up my straightened hair and dab a bit of oil (not moisturizer- but a lubricant) and then put a baggie over the bun, which for me are my ends. The result is that my hair, especially my ends, stays straight for a much longer time. I don't do this for long periods of time but it definitely preserves the straightness of my ends.

It kept my ends moist and didn't need to trim ends often... I definitely will be doing this again once my hair grow back out..

Seems you'd need a moisturizing cream (though I can't think of any right now). A light oil and baggying the ends might be productive, definately won't hurt. (EVOO, Coconut oil, definately grapeseed oil)

I baggy my ends nightly and I think it keeps them moisturized and soft. I'm unsure if it helps to combat splits but I haven't had a trim since June and my ends still look great. I PS daily though and that might have something to do with it also.

I've never even thought of baggying dry hair. I'll give this a try next time I straighten, thanks!

:grin:That's great. I'll start doing this. How long is long periods of time to you, and which oils?

bumping. Does anyone else baggy with just oil on their straightened hair?
How long do you go without moisturising, and which oil do you use? (Chicoro's post)^. I mis-quoted
