Does anyone use Perm Rods instead of Flexis?

I have been experimenting.... I want a smooth and nice curl and It is HARD to get hang of flexis - I cannot afford curlformers - I put that out of my head........

So - I am wondering if there is anyone who uses PERM Rods on thier natural hair?

I have. I don't like the way they come out though. As a napptural, if I wanna wear a rollerset out, this doesn't get my roots straight and I airdry, so like that's imperative. I like the flexi rods a lot though. I can get the curl right to the root, and it airdrys nice with a smoothness. I would try to experiment more w/ the flexi rods, and see. It took me a minute to get the hang of it, but now that I do, I love them!! Hth

My beautician used to use the largest ones on my hair (when it was shorter) and she said it was all in the tension, and you had to make sure you applied enough tension to the roots. After the dryer, she sometimes took a hotcomb to the fron tho...

I've done these on my aunt's hair. It come out curly. It's cute if you want to rock a shorter look. I may try it soon on my hair myself. Since I am ten weeks post, it will be nice and thick ang big. Cause I wouldn't like it on flat hair.

i use perm rollers and absolutely love them. i have flexi's too but haven't used them entire year i've owned them (yet).

i'm too lazy to rollerset on a routine basis though........

p.s. - a couple months ago i actually went out and bought a fresh batch of them. i think i'll be using the next size up next time.
