Does anyone use black soap to clarify?

I've heard that this soap can be drying to the hair but then again many love it. Since it seems to clean so well, I was thinking that maybe I could use it to clarify with. Ii always deep condition after a clarifying, i'm thinking that this would be good for this purpose. does anyone use it?

I use it regualarly and I love it, it really gets my scalp clean. I like to add a few drops of peppermint eo to it for the extra tingle.

I've used it before! I think it's good especially when I have some type of scalp irritation--I would just rub it my scalp and that irritation would virtually disapper.
