Does anyone like the new Nexxus Humectress?

I know that the ingredients are worse than the original, but it's the only thing that works as a daily moisturizer for my hair. I'm almost out of my old bottle and still haven't found a replacement, I'm thinking of trying suave humectant, but stores never seem to carry it. Grrr.

Feel free to recommend a protein free moisturizer that's easily accessible. Thanks.

Thanks, I'm so glad to hear that. I was going to try Giovanni, but it seems like all their conditioners have protein in them.

I used the GVP version last night for a co-wash and I am very please with the results. I also love the way it smells.

I just bought it and I use the Nexxus Humectress as a deep conditioner since I leave it on for 30 minutes. It seems REALLY light and watery, I guess its due to the fact that its not supposed to be used a deep conditioner. Anyways, I won't be buying it again.

I never used the old one, but the new one was fine to me. It left my hair soft & moisturized and it smelled great, but I decided not to repurchase due to the price (and my desire to try other products aka slight PJism).

Did anyone ever actually establish what ingredients were different and why these ingredients were worse?

I never had the original one but I do use the new version which incidently has mineral oil in as the 5th ingredient. I did not like it as deep conditioner but it was perfect as a moisturizer for my hair. It really did leave my hair very nice and soft when used as a moisturizer only. I mixed it with some glycerin and BB Oil Moisturizer and got even better results:yep:.

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll give it a try, I wish they have sample sizes. But I guess I can always return it if I hate it.

oh did they change the ingredients? I thought (was hoping) it was just a new look :/ I love the old one as a leave in. Not strong enough on its own for a DC.

I didn't realize it was any different, I put it back because of the little tiny package and the big price. Glad I didn't buy it to be disappointed!! I guess I better go swoop up that last big bottle of the original at walgreens, I bought one I guess I better get the last one. It's been my moisturizing DC for over a year now!!

They added cones. The old formula didn't have any. They also changed the fragrance.

I hate that they changed the formula. Why are these companies always cheapening stuff up? UGH. I was all out of humectress, so I had no choice but to buy this new bottle. I went to several stores and they were everywhere!

I ve used the old Humectress today as a DC and left my hair dry and tangled .I ve given it so many chances i just dont like it at all .it has mineral oil and glycerin in it ,my hair doesnt react well to both .

You know this post 1-3 years old.

They did change the formula a while ago, however I don't think they changed it recently. It's still great. I just bought the 24oz Friday.
