Does anyone else NOT know how to Cornrow?

I've been trying but I just can't seem to get it right. I used to be able to French braid with the best of them but my skills went away. *pout*

I learned from a diagram similar to the one linked. It was a link from this website too. I learned how to french braid on my own from just seeing the finished style and figuring out how it was done. The big thing for me with cornrowing was not tangling my fingers up in my hair so that it looks neat. Mine aren't perfect, but they look decent.

I feel so out of the loop. I was a tombboy when I was younger so I never bothered to learn. Now when I want to I don't know where to start

Thanks weaveitup,

my reply was to simply say that i can't do it either, but with your thread i am willing to give it another try. I am trying to find a way to extend the time between relaxing.

type 4b hair, very dry, fragile :woot:

I never learned, either. My sister has been telling me for like 10 years that she'll teach me, and still has not done so. She's such a punk. ;) But I juss get her back by having her braid my hair all the time, and telling her that she shouldn't complain since she never taught me how to do it myself.
