Do you think you'll stick to your 2010 challenges?

I only joined 2 (bootcamp and use it up) so I should complete them. My regimen is similar to bootcamp and I desperately need to clear space in the linen closet.

I think I will-it's just keeping my hair in weaves for 6 months, with a week's break in between. not hard. i think. :look:
ask me this time next year!

Let's see. I've joined:
  • Transitioning w/o a BC - will definitely stick to that one b/c I don't want to BC b/c that would be yet another length set back
  • MBL 2010 - I'm less than 2 inches from BSL right now so that should be doable
  • 2010 Braid Challenge - this one isn't strict & you're allowed time off. Right now I wear cornrows under a wig & get them redone every 4 wks. I will take some time off towards the end of next year to BKT for my h.s. class reunion. After the reunion, I think I'll get a sew-in to take advantage of my new BKT results.
I'm trying to be WL by May 2011 when my DS graduates from h.s.
I am drinking the WL shake & taking chlorella daily. Though the motivation is purely hair, I'm getting other health benefits so it's not hard to stick to it.

I'm in the Layers Out, Super Healthy Ends, and MBL 2010 challenges. I will definitely be sticking to challenges. I want to ultimately be MBL and with less layers so all of these challenges go hand in hand. Shoot I want to be pushing WL if I can. I will be on my grind for real next year; not that I wasn't this year.

To be honest, i haven't been sticking to them in the past. But i really, really wanna make it to Waist Length this time next year and i believe that sticking with these challenges will get me there.

I have joined a butt load of challenges for 2010 and I really have every intention of completely them. However there is one challenge I wish I had not joined only because now my reggie has changed, but I'm going to continue on it because it ends in April. Anyway wish me luck:spinning:

Well, this is the first time I'm doing challenges since I joined. And I plan to stick to all of them beacuse they overlap quite a bit, foucsing on hair health: no direct heat, regular DCing, low mani and protective styling which are a part of my routine already. I'm not going to join any ___length 2010 challenges 'cause I have hair anxiety lol and a deadline like that for me feels like pressure. I know I'll just fustrate myself if it comes down to the end and I know I won't reach it. I prefer to hide my hair and be pleasantly surprised when I do a length check :yep:

I am a realist so I am only joining challenges I know I will do effortlessly, I wouldn't join a no heat challenge because that is setting me up to fail. LOL,

BUt I definitely believe I will stick to the BSL 2010, MBL 2010, wig 2010, and Detangling 2010 challange. I personally wear wigs, and will incorporate that into my regimen more, so it fit right in with my already plans. :)

I start tasks and fail them, where my hair is concerned and thats why it looks a hot damn mess. This is why ive asked for a buddy. I think i may have one.

-finishes applying makeup

I too was thinking about this, I have seen a few people who have the same goals as I do, So I think I will also ask for a buddy with the same goals time frame :)

i think ill stick to my challenges because i know how badly i need to, i feel like i want to be through with setbacks for a while so im going to only join the challenges i think will benifit me and have patience with myself and my hair!

I think I'll stick to my challenges this time around (although I've barely stuck to LHCF challenges in the past). I spent most of 2009 figuring out what my hair likes and doesn't like and got the whole PJ thing out of my system. Now that I actually have a regimen and a plan, it will be much easier to stick it out and make some progress. Plus, I signed up for challenges that kind of go hand-in-hand and actually subscribed to the threads to remind me to check in. For instance, I now stretch my relaxers to 6 months (Long Term Stretch Challenge) using the Crown and Glory Method (Braid Challenge), so learning how to detangle (Detangling Challenge) when I am letting my hair rest is a must! This is all in order to reach my ultimate goal looking and feeling sexy (Carb Cycling Challenge) with some flowing hair (APL Challenge, Knockout Nape Challenge) by the end of the year!

yeah I think having a buddy with the same goals will definitely be a plus throughout the challenges

i think i'm going to stick to my challenges.

i made a "task calendar" that i fill in as i complete my tasks (daily, weekly and monthly); i know it will make me feel bad if i look at my calendar and it's empty lol

i've only done "challenges" that i could do easily, now i need a little extra encouragement

I'm trying to hook all my challenges together that way I know that I'll be able to remember them. :yep:

MN Challenge-K.I.S.S
Bootcamp Challenge
Super Healthy Ends Challenge
APL Challenge
Braids Challenge
All of them have many things in common so I should have no trouble or excuses for not reaching my goal of APL by June-2010.

I'm giving myself 3 month sessions because I think that would be easier for me anyway.
Oh I almost for got the Valentine's Day Challenge but that one is just for fun and it's super shor.

Yes I do because I didn't do a challenge that I knew I couldn't handle. Shoulder length by 2010? I know I will definitely be able to achieve this, and the layers out challenge shouldn't be hard because my layers have already begun to grow out. I'm not doing a challenge that doesn't steer away from my regular routine. I'm no dummy, and going to start a challenge (no buy) if I know good and darn well everytime I go to the store I run to the hair section.

Yes I will:

2010 Lose Minimal/No Hair While Detangling Challenge -- fo sho'
2010 Knock Out Edges / Nape -- fo sho'
2010 Use Up Your Stash -- Not too sure :perplexed May just give to my older sisters

I may be wrong, but I think I only joined one challenge (I am already off to a bad start, based on the fact that I don't recall if I joined a challenge...:nono:).

I tend to not do well with challenges, so what I have learned is to only join the ones that fit within my current regimen. Maybe that's extra lazy (probably is) but it works for me, and I actually get to see progress...the progress I know I am going to see is my motivation.
