Do you think following Michael Baisden's advice is helpful?

I know a lady that is always quoting him and I don't think she is handling her biz so well...... :look:

No no way uh uh forget it! Michael will get you put out! I listen to his show for entertainment purposes mostly. Every now and again there is some good info, but relationships? Big negative.

NO!!! He's a joke.

Why would someone follow his relationship advice? if that's what she's doing . He does not believe in monogamy or even being respectful to a woman :nono:.

He cheated on his wife and is proud of it and has vowed he'll never marry again. He likes and admires swingers and open-relationships.

He may have changed cause I don't listen to him anymore.

you know, I always wondered how he got his own show? I don't know anybody that admits to listening to that crapola. He is unoriginal as all get out. Nobody should be taking any of his advice under NO circumstance.

Yeah, as much as I complain about him and Mo'Nique, I do listen more than I need to be because I'm in the car A LOT from 3-7...

But I know that I need to dismiss 99.99999999999999999% of what I hear on there!

I've heard from a few friends that they don't care for his show and think its pure nonsense...I don't give it a listen really and when I so it's b/c folks would call me up and tell me of the interesting topic he would have on for the particular day...

I hear you on that! At that time my day is coming to an end and sometimes I feel like listening to the radio. The station Michael comes on is the only urban station my MP3 picks up at work! Oh, well. :ohwell:

Is Mo'Nique's show that bad, too? She doesn't come on in this area.

I was through with Mo'Nique's show after she had a topic about whether marriage was important and her male co-host was trying to argue about how women always mess up "good" relationships by asking, "Where is this going?" after being in the relationship for two or more years and why can't women just go with the flow and enjoy the relationship instead of wanting the "status" of marriage? Mo'Nique didn't dispute him and then they both were saying things like, "Okay, so y'all have been together four years, might have a kid or two and just because you're not married doesn't mean you don't have a good relationship!" Then most of the callers were co-signing that mess, although some were saying they really did want to get married after six years, three kids, etc., but were probably gonna stay because they had a "good man."

Oh, and all of the female callers usually have some kind of baby daddy drama and a bunch of kids by different men and all.

So that about sums it up! :D

Oh,wow. Guess I'm not missing anything there. Isn't she in an open marriage? That could be why she's so go with the flow. Either way I don't understand how they think a woman asking where the relationship is going is messing things up. What's wrong with that? The only error I see is waiting years and babies later before figuring out if they're on the same page or not. Discuss expectations upfront to hopefully avoid losing years of your life with someone who doesn't have the same relationship goals in mind.

See... Good thing her show isn't on here. That made me mad a little bit! :lachen:

I don't find his advice helpful at all, I think he is a total clown.

DH used to watch the show on TVone..I thought it was a dumb show..just as dumb as the radio show.

I like thursdays when they bring doctors on to talk about health issues other that when I do listen, it's for laughs.

Sometimes he spews pure garbage and at times, he makes sense. I guess it depends on the topic at hand.

But I wouldn't listen to him for relationship advice, oh no!!

Oh really... she is following his advice.. wow... That is a fast way to end up single...

He who told me that women better be ready to pay half on an engagement ring

Mike Baisden can be very annoying at times. I like his show when he has the live your dreams or other motivational stuff.

Wednesday is the best day in my opinion to listen to his show just for the bolded. Thursday is good too if you're interested in health and fitness.

no!

Some of the stuff he says is so dumb.

I think Steve Harvey gives better advice to some of the people that write in letters.

He gives advice? :look: Unless he's doing a "Live Your Dreams" show or has a doctor on and is talking about some health issue, I assume that he's trying to instigate and I don't pay him much mind (one way or another).
