Do you suspect a friend or someone you know knew about LHCF and never told you?

What is gettin me is how these people are denying or ashamed of being a member here. lol. My friend is natural and openly talks to me about the natural hair blog where she gets all of her info. I don't think she's branched out to boards and communities just yet, just that blog.

OT: But I just saw a member who has been here a while suggest someone use Pink Oil on another site... I almost died.
My second cousin, who has always had long hair was a member of another forum but because she's always had really long hair I never noticed. And then I discovered how powerful shrinkage is and realized that her hair was like 10" longer than it was the last time I'd seen her when she stretched it out.... lol. She didn't keep it a secret but by the time I saw it, I was already a member here.

I think a coworker of mine maybe a member here or another board. She overheard me telling my assistant who is natural about coconut oil. I also gave my assistant some samples of products one day and she was seating at her desk listening. She is relaxed and her hair is full APL. She asked me about coconut oil and I told her which brand I use. About a week later she mentioned how she conditions her hair and mixes it with her oils. If she already use oils why she acting like this is new to her. When I asked her what oils she was real tight lipped and never gave me an answer. She mentioned going to beauty brands for some type of oil and when I asked her if it was moroccan oil she acted like she did not remember. In the past she has mentioned how the women at her church are trying to emulate hererplexed . She is the first lady at her church and I wondered why she would not share her hair tips with them. She actually said they were trying to grow their hair long like hers. Seems like she is afraid if they learn what she knows their hair may grow longer then hers.
I always keep my hair in a protective style and may wear it out about once every 3-4 months. She commented , " boy you hair is getting long , how long is it?" I just acted like it was no big deal and said I really did not know. I said to myself why she tracking my progress. I'm not even APL yet.

i know my friend's mom participated in one of these hair boards. She was talking about cones and all this other stuff. I know she ain't get all that from youtube.

Yes. I went to school with someone who used hair board verbiage . She hated it when I would bring up healthy hair care practices. She would change the subject quickly and give me the side eye. I can only assume that she wants to have long hair before she shares her secret.

No one I've known for a long time is on any but a LOT of people that I've met within recent years are on some board (not necessarily LHCF). Most of them have always had long hair though. I'm the one that's been turning my long-term friends onto it, although I usually refer them to KISS because I think its easier for a newbie to navigate. If they "get into" it enough they usually come back to me later with "have you ever heard of LHCF?" But so far its been me paving the way...

I don't think that anybody I know is on any boards. Their hair its just to horrible for me to believe it.
