Do you smell flowers? it smells like a funeral home in here

This is what my boss said in a conference. it was me. that darn rosemary. i cant stand the scent and i have to go through a whole day pretending its not me smelling like a funeral home .

and my braids are hella long so i am wearing it as a fragrance. christ.

He didnt know that it was hair smelling like that. I smelled my hair and i smell it lightly in my hair sometimes. I went to the restroom and i wiped it with a tissue and smelled the tissue and i dont smell anything. everytime i turn i smell it but if i smell my hair i dont smell anything. its crazy, but i was playing with the rosemary all weekend. i am washing my hair tonight. maybe its the braid spray. I bought this spray called fresh braid but it feels like goo stuff but when it dries it just smells like soap. i dont know. if i ever sweat the stuff will flare.

I am so delusional. he knows its my hair. he just came over and asked me if it was a 14 hour job to get my hair done. i said yes, i was sick after. he said, why because of the fumes and stuff. i said no it was just really long ( i had gas pains but kept that to myself. but thats what i really meant). i smell like a funeral home and i cant go home to wash my hair. can i just let out the tears. maybe i will go to the gym next door and shower during lunch, what a stress.

oh no!! it sounds like he's saying this in a mean way! that's terrible. don't cry, please don't cry. maybe he's having a sour day and he's just trying to transfer his negative energy to someone else. keep your head up and if you think it will help you not stress out over this, then take the quick shower. just don't let him get you down! rosemary is a beautiful smell! who knew someone would get in such a fix over a pleasant smell :/

Ah, hun please don't let this stress you. It sounds like he's being a meanie. Keep your head up and keep smiling. If he doesn't like the smell, then he should stay in his office or take his butt home.

I agree.... he sounds to have gone out of his way to comment about your hair. Ignore him and get your growth on. However, if he bugs you again about your hair I'd say something to him to shut him down. Some people will continually pick with you if they think you're sensitive. Don't give him the pleasure or the power.

What a jerk. That was really unprofessional for him to make those comments. He should watch out, one day you could be HIS boss, so he better just get used to the smell of rosemary. Do ya thang girl, and forget him and don't let him steal your joy. You and your hair are truly precious. :Rose:

He does sound a bit rude...

But lemme tell ya that rosemary is some potent stuff! I had an experience similar to yours, and I haven't used it since. There's 3/4 of a bottle in my cabinet that I just skip each time I reach for an oil.

I guess it has to be used sparingly to avoid that smell, but it can definitely be overpowering.
