I lead by example....folks don't LISTEN; you have to SHOW & prove.![]()
If someone asks and seems genuinley interested maybe i'll tell them.

My hair used to look so bad that my friends and teachers called me "tackhead" so my friends don't feel I'm in the "position" to know ANYTHING about hair so...I act hair dumb and let them tell me all their tips that I found out DON'T WORK (One friend told me that I should flat iron my hair everyday and only wash every 3 weeks) and I pretend like I'm taking it all in when I'm really hearing, "

"
.
I know they listen to me
even if it goes against what we ALL thought we knew or thought we should do.
i don't volunteer unless they ask. i don't tell them about the hair board unless they are really desperate and open to being here.
i tried just offering help only to get theface and told that the stuff i do works for me because i got "good hair" and because "i am mixed"
none of those statements are true.

I know what you mean!My nieces edges lookOh yes, good point! The only time I say something to my mom is when my youngest sister is involved. My mom's mismanagement had that girl's edges tore up, so I got involved and have taken over her hair care.
.I put a hair basket together for her so maybe that will motivate SIL to put more effort into her hair.lol Ditto on this. Even though it's only been a month my hair looks a thousand times more healthy....my friends just think i changed stylists lol ESPECIALLY cuz I couldn't roll my hair to save my life 2 months ago! Some I do some I don't. Even the ones that knew what my hair looked like before don't believe me when I tell them what made the difference.
. My roommate (who is Caribbean/Asian/White) will listen to me though.

I do share with my friends and family... even though they look @ me like i've lost my mind. They tell me that my hair will fall out. My roommate (who is Caribbean/Asian/White) will listen to me though.
One girl followed my co-wash regime. She had a 4b TWA and wanted her hair like mine. I forewarned her that my hair is natural, but different in a way.... I guess she thought her's would come out like mine.
Anywho, she apparently did it because she came back to me PISSED OFF like she was going to fight me or something... She snatched off her hat and was like "LOOK AT THIS!!!"
I guess I learned that you can't share your regime with everyone...
