Well if you don't you really should. I was just commenting in the baby forum how I use to be a part of a forum called babynamesworld.com for a couple of years. The people there were great, we would check in almost daily, just like this site. Then one day it just shut down! ..There was absolutely no warning. So all the people that you had "known" and were looking forward to their baby updates was gone. Again no warning to say goodbye.

Since then, I came across this forum and I def. save the greatest hair tips that I have found. I save it in a word document and back up my PC.

I have a lot of book marks and some articles I print out but I haven't thought about actually saving the info into a Word Doc. If I come across something I want for later I'll print it.

Definitely. It's a bit of a habit. I write, and I know how easy it is to lose a document, so I always have backups. I use that same principle when it comes to information that I want to save from the net. I always save it on a document because you never know what'll happen.

Yep, me too. I even have a sectioned off binder that I started about 3 months into my hair journey. Its very helpful when I can't remember certain procedures, or if I need to, I can just use my printed out pages as a resource to help me expand on my hair care ideas. The binder is also a good study when I need to look back and reflect on my progress and constantly changing regimen every few months or so. There's so much good info here, I love saving printed copies of all these excellent ideas that you ladies are so willing to share! Keep em coming...we are grateful!:yep:

I got a note-taking program (Evernote) to keep track of hair articles and as an offline hair journal. I haven't updated it in a while tho...(I have a ton of bookmark'd articles waiting to be stored offline for months).
But I agree, saving info is important. I hate looking for something online later one only to find it's missing :ohwell:

Yes, I do but it's so unorganized.:ohwell: I have to combine everything by titles, in sections.

Girl my whole pc is filled with bookmarks.
My bookmarks could write a black hair growth page

I also have copy pasted pages to MS word, then saved a link to the page:blush:

Yes! I have things saved on my desktop, I have stuff in the "My documents" folder too, I have hair products and tips saved in my email notebook, I have things written down in my spiral notebook that I stopped using for my old courses. :spinning: I just wanted to be prepared in case the forum was ever closed down or if a lot of the members I am inspired by stop posting.

Wow, and here I was thinking I was the only one.

I have what I call my "Hair Book". It's a binder filled with tips, tricks, recipes, do's and don'ts, etc.

I have saved on my computer and bookmarks before but I'm always afraid that if something were to happen to the computer I'd lose all my info.

I've gotten info from all over the internet including this site.

Great you should mention this OP, i've been thinking about it for a while now. (i mean the whole printing and saving inportant hair info), i haven't really act on it as yet but thanks you for the reminder.

Gets thumb drive and start saving:grin:

I do it like elementary school....i have a black and white hard cover note book. Once I find some important information I put it in word (at the job) and I just print it out and staple it to my hair book once I get home...

I know that is a lot of work, but it works for me :)

I've bookmarked and saved threads that have good information, pictures, etc. I love this forum I try to save what I have learned and pass it on to someone else that can use it.
